Elena's P.O.V 2 Days After Karaoke

I finally did it. I finally admitted to Dean I loved him. He loved me. All these thoughts were making me question certain things. Did Sam have something to do with it? Was Dean really in love with me? What are we? Are we a couple? Are we just friends? My thoughts were interrupted my a knock at my door.

"Elena you in there?" Sam said through the door.

"Yeah. You can come in." I said walking over to my mirror. My hair was messy from not brushing it yet this morning. I have been up for three hours just thinking about the kiss.

"What are you doing in here? Why didn't you go on a run with me like you usually do?"

"Sorry I was lost in thought."

"You OK?"

"Yeah I just can't wrap my head around what happened."

"You do know that Dean is crazy about you right?"

"Really?"

"Yeah. After you fell asleep on the way back he wouldn't shut up."

"I doubt he was actually talking about me though. He probably was talking about someone else."

"I don't think so. He kissed you and admitted his feelings. Dean has never done that to anyone else before."

"What if I told you that I didn't know if I wanted it?" Sam looked at me shocked.

"You were telling me before we left that night that you liked him."

"Yeah I know but.."

"No, no buts. Elena, Dean has never talk about someone the way he talks about you. He's never been this happy before either. Not since Lisa. Even then he didn't have the joy in his eyes like he has with you."

"I think I just need a few days away. Maybe go back to Mystic Falls. Have a girl day with Bonnie and Caroline."

"You sure?"

"Yeah it will be good for me. If I have any problems or another vampire is after me I will call you guys right away."

"I still think you should talk to Dean. At least let him know you are leaving."

"I will thanks Sam." He smiled as he walked out and closed the door behind him. I walked over to my closet and pulled out my jean jacket and some jeans along with a black tank top. I put my hair in a high pony tail and applied light makeup. I smiled at my reflection in the mirror then headed toward the kitchen.

In the kitchen Sam was talking to Dean but stopped when I walked in.

"Morning Dean. Don't stop on my account just getting my coffee and then I am going to finish packing."

"Packing? Where are you going?" Dean asked setting his coffee cup down on the table.

"I am going to Mystic Falls for a few days."

"Why?"

"I need to spend some time with Caroline and Bonnie." Dean looks to Sam. "What?" I said looking between Sam and Dean.

"You didn't tell her?" Deans said to Sam.

"Tell me what?" I said walking closer. "Dean what is it."

"Elena..." He stopped and looked at me sadly. "There is something you need to know."
