The Cure For Vampirism and A New Hunter?

Dean's P.O.V

Hello New Orleans. We finally crossed the town line after driving for 45 minutes.

"Dean maybe this isn't a good idea."

"What? Why?"

"Two hunters working with three vampires to kill a family of original vampires is not a smart idea."

"Sam they asked for our help. Do you want me to just tell them, ' Oh I'm sorry we can't help you because working with vampires is a bad idea.' We are going to work with them Sam and we are going to solve this problem once and for all."

"Are you sure that it's a good idea though. I mean last time you said someone deserved a chance we had to go after them." Sam said looking at me.

"Sam Kate was different. She was turned into a werewolf because someone thought they were being smart. And it wasn't her we went after it was her sister." Sam stayed quiet and I looked at him quickly before looking back to the road. "What?"

"You like her don't you?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I see the way you look at her Dean. It's the same look you gave Lisa when we were on that hunt with the changelings." I stayed quiet and just looked ahead of me. Sam scoffed. "Yeah you don't like her at all." I turned the music up and started singing quietly to 'Back in Black' by AC/DC.

15 minutes later

I followed Elena as she pulled up a long driveway. On both sides where oak trees that hung over the driveway. After a few moments a white house came into view. Elena stopped and got out as a blonde woman came out. She ran up to her and hugged her. I walked up to Stefan and Damon as i watched the two woman talk.

"Who is that?"

"That is Caroline." Stefan said watching the two.

"Why are you looking at her like that?"

"She is dating Klaus."

"What do you mean she is dating Klaus?"

"Oh don't worry Caroline is in on our plan." Damon said as he walked toward Elena and Caroline. Stefan, Sam, and I followed him.

"Caroline this is Dean and Sam. They are here to help us with Klaus."

"Let me guess. Hunters?"

"How did you guess."

"Well whenever you work a case in town Klaus and Rebekah keep tabs on you. They want to make sure that you aren't coming after them."

"What do they do run this town." Everyone stayed silent. "Seriously?"

"He has a lot of Hybrids around him. They follow him around like lost dogs." Caroline says.

"How are we supposed to get close enough to get near him?"

"You are going to have help from my pack." Said a brunette hair girl as she walked out of the house. "My name is Haley and I run the New Orleans pack."

"Ok so we have four vampires and a pack of werewolves helping us?"

"Yes. You got a problem with it then leave." Haley said.

"I didn't say I have a problem with it. Just trying to wrap my head around it." I said.

"Good because we have work to do."

Three hours later, Elena's P.O.V

"Hey I said as Dean walked into the kitchen."

"Hey."

"What you said earlier there are only three vampires working with you guys."

"What do you mean?" I pulled the cure out of my pocket.

"It's the cure for vampirism. I am going to take it tonight after dinner. Then after we deal with Klaus I am leaving."

"Why take it after dinner tonight?"

"Because Klaus wants it and we can't let him have it."

"Why does he want it?"

"He wants to give it to his sister. But if she takes it everyone in her vampire blood line dies." I saw Dean think for a moment but I cut him off before he could start talking. "I was wondering can I join you guys on the road?"

"Why would you want to join us?"

"I figured my brother was a hunter. Hell he was one of the five. I want to do what he did."

"I am going to have to ask Sam but, I don't see why not." I smiled. Ever since I met Dean he has had this place in my heart. I don't know why but I find his apple green eyes adorable.

"Great let me know."

Dean's P.O.V

After Elena asked me if she could join us on the road I smiled to myself. Maybe Sam was right. I do like her.

"Great let me know." She said as she walked out of the room. I grabbed two beers then walked up to Sam's room. He was in his laptop. I handed him a beer and sat down in the chair across from him.

"We have to talk." I said and he sighed. He shut him computer and took a sip of his beer.

"What's up?"

"Elena she wants to join us on the road."

"OK and?"

"Do you think it is a good idea?"

"Well she would need to be trained but other than that I don't see why not."

"Alright I will go tell her." I stood up and walked out of his room. Walking down the hall I knocked on her door and smiled at me as she opened the door.

"So what did Sam say?"

"He said OK. But you are going to have to be trained and learn about some other creatures other than vampires and werewolves."

"OK deal." She said smiling. "Well I will see you at dinner Dean." I smiled and walked out of her room. I think I just fell for her even more.

After Dinner, Elena's P.O.V

"Hey Dean come help me?"

"Sure." We grabbed the plates and walked into the kitchen.

"After everyone heads up stairs at 8:30 come over to my room. I am going to take the cure then but I don't want to be alone when I take it.

"Alright. See you at 8:30." He walked out of the room and had a beer with Sam until everyone had to head up to their rooms for the night because Caroline was trying to get her girl to sleep. Dean showed up at my room exactly at 8:30 and I let him in. I went and got the cure out of the drawer in the nightstand and walked over to him.

"Here goes nothing." I opened the cap on the capsule and took the cure. I set the capsule on the table and looked at Dean. That's when I felt it. My stomach started turning and I ran for the bathroom. I felt Dean hold my hair back while I emptied my stomach. I sat on the floor of the bathroom while the cure took the rest of it's course. Flashback and memories that had been compelled away when I was a vampire returned. After a good five minutes everything was back to normal. I remembered everything and I was human again.

"Well?"

"It worked." Dean smiled and hugged me. I hugged back and smiled. Now maybe I could have a normal life and not one where couldn't be myself. I was me again, now and forever.
