Chapter 21

the inside of the castle was mostly white marble and granite with pillars and a red carpet leading up the main stairs that had swirls in the rails on the stairs. at the end of those stairs in the middle of the wall was a picture of Rin's parents and a golden plaque that said 'prince vinominion Quinton Thoresen Berwald and his lovely bride Britanni Locksworth Angelica Forinna. her father was not smiling but he looked happy his brown hair combed back and his red eyes looking proud in his black princes wedding suit, her mother was smiling and looked happy wearing her hair up that complemented her green eyes and white wedding dress.

"do you like the picture it was painted after the wedding and was hung here ever since, oh and by the way we have other guests here. the couple who rule over the lumber district, and Luciano from the weapons district, i hope they don't bother your stay Lady RIn"

"no i'll be fine they won't affect me any" Rin says still looking around, but nothing was really noticeable a few vases and small pictures of place RIn had never seen a maid and a butler near two corners. Rin looks at the Maid and butlers not noticing anything in particular except a young boy around seven or eight dressed as a butler standing directly next to Roderich. "who is the young man standing next to you Roderich?"

"huh oh he is my bodyguard, he might look young and weak but he was able to beat all of my other guards easily, why do you ask?" Roderich asks  looking at the boy to see the boy actually looking directly at Rin, which normally wouldn't be weird except for the fact that he had never looked anyone in the eyes before. "oi it's rude to star-"

"what is your name young man" Rin interrupts Roderich in the middle of his sentence.

"my name is Laowen my lady" Laowen says bowing towards Rin "might i ask your name"

"mhm my name is Arinorin, but you may call me Rin, Laowen" Rin bows in return to Laowen's "Roderich could you now show me to my room please?" Rin says returning her attention back to Roderich,

"huh oh yes of course, Mein i will take you to the servants quarters later" Roderich says still in shock that laowen talked

"huh what i'm not sleeping in the servants quarters i'm not a servant i'm the supreme magician not a servant" Mein says crossing her arms in defiance

"what you a..." he looks at Mein with disbelief "R-Rin is that true?"

"yes it is, and she shall be sleeping in the room next to me she is also my guard. Now to my room then" Rin walks up the stairs making all of them running after her  so she won't become lost trying to find her room.

"wait lady Rin you don't know the way" Roderich says running up the stairs which made Laowen run and Mein ran after Rin cause she was worried about her falling.

"well then hurry up and tell me where to go" she says annoyed at how slow they were. when Roderich finally got up the stairs he was panting heavily and bending over to catch his breath. Laowen stands behind not moving an inch and Mein runs past them both and stops next to Rin panting a little but not as heavily a Roderich was. "Roderich are you okay" Rin asks bending over to see.

"huh yeah just peachy" Roderich says standing up " your room is down that hallway then go up the stair  and i that hallway the last door on your left if yours i'll see you later lady Rin at dinner i'll send someone to fetch you"

"hm as you wish come Mein we'll set up your room once we get to it" Rin says waving her hand to signal Mein to follow and she turns and walks away "see you later too Laowen"

"yes my lady Rin" laowen says bowing

"why do you only talk to her you never talk to me" Roderich says walking towards his room.

"..." Laowen says nothing and walks behind Roderich, keeping his head down.

"heh whatever your choice" Roderich says more to himself than Laowen.

while Roderich walks to his room, Rin and Mein make their way up the stairs and make the right turn. there they see two people standing at the window and looking out. one is a man and the other a woman, the man is very tall and has blond hair and blue green eyes behind glasses, and wearing a blue long trench coat like cape, the woman much smaller than the man has short almost white hair and violet wide innocent eyes  she is wearing a light blue and white dress that almost reaches the floor.

The woman turns and faces Rin and Mein and she gasps looking surprised she stands more behind the man and her lips move and the man turn and faces them too and the four just stare for a while. breaking the weird silence Rin steps forwards and the woman steps more behind the man who watches Rin carefully, Rin just ignores them and walks past the two and Mein follows closely behind. Rin walks to her door and faces the two and bows, surprising the two, and rin closes the door.

"well that was... strange who were those people the seemed like they were on their guard" Mein says putting her hands on her hips.

"didn't you hear what Roderich said earlier, that there was other guest here the two who control the lumber district and the one who controls the weapons district. and my guess is those two are the husband and wife and controllers of the lumber district, but with the way i was dressed they were wondering who i was and you but you looked more poli-"

"okay you don't need to talk so much" Mein interrupts and start looking around at all of the stuff in the room. the room was fairly large and really large french doors and windows that led to a balcony and you could see the mountains and so many stars at night. The bed was king size with a red and white comforter with white plush pillows. all of Rin's things sat next to a sliding door closet and on the other side a desk and a mirror with a pen and brush.

"this room is very pretty" Rin says jumping on the bed and lying down.

"yeah it is quite beautiful, what does mine look like heh probably like shit" Mein says going to open the door and walk out. she opens the door and someone hits her chest. "heh?" She looks down and laowen had hit his hand against her chest.

he looks behind Mein and looks at Rin "dinner is ready, please come down when you are ready," he bows and turns around and leaves down the hall.

"how rude he just touched my chest and ignores me rude" she says closing the door "oh and Rin please change out of those clothes they make you looks like a peasant boy" and she shuts the door, and walks to the room next to Rin's and sees all of her stuff. she smiles.

Rin sighs and walks to her bags and opens one of the and pulls out an easy red, black and silver dress to put on. once she puts it on she stands in front of the mirror and combs one side and then the other side of hair to the back showing a lot of her white hair, and her bangs fall onto her face. she pins her hair back with a comb and a hair pin.

She walks out her door to see Loawen, waiting there probably for her "lady Rin please follow me" he says bowing and gestures for her to follow him.

"please show the way"
