Chapter 25

Rin was now seeing the castle as the sun was rising slowly over the mountain top. She slowed Noble down and kicked a little at the speed she stopped him at. Once she reached the gate she hopped down off her horse and knocked on the gates, she had cleaned the ink out of her hair in the river they had passed when they came here.

"Hey you up there open the gates" she yelled up to the guard on top of the wall they both pered down to see who was yelling at them, and once they saw her hair they immediately opened the gates.

"LADY RIN!" Mein called out from the opening gates as soon as the opened enough Mein came running out and hit rin hard right on top of her head.
"OW! That hurt Mein please don't do that" Rin pleaded.

"Do you know how worried i was, i didn't know where you had gone, all i had was a note that said you would be back by morning" Mien started to tear up and her voice was cracking under pressure from her emotions "i-i was so w-worried you idiot!" She was now full blown crying on Rin's lap.

"Okay okay calm down Mein, i'm here so don't cry" Rin said in a soothing voice petting Mein's hair in a motherly way. "Come now Mein let's go back into the castle," Rin said, Mein was still crying, but she got up with the help of Rin and walked into the gates.

"Lady Rin! Why did you disappear!?" Roderich said rushing down the stairs of the castles, and trips. He fell down and hit his forehead on the ground, maids came rushing to his aid. All Mein did was laugh her face off and fall to the ground herself.

"Mein compose yourself," Rin said helping Roderich up from his fall.

"S-Sorry but that was too funny," Mein said still laughing a little.

"Oh and thanks for you're help, Mein, instead Lady Rin had to help me," Roderich said pouting a little brushing himself off, "thank you Lady Rin, that was not needed of you."

"I didn't mind, Roderich, i was glad to have helped," Rin says politely.

"But still.... Oh! And Lady Rin where did you run off to? You worried us to death!" He said looking kind of mad.

"I had to um visit someone in the city so i did," Rin said scratching the back of her head sheepishly.

"Then why are you wearing commoner clothes?"

"These were because they're comfortable," she says looking down at them.

"Ugh" he says pinching the bridge of his nose, "fine go get changed we have more problems to attend to today."

"Really like what?" Rin says following Roderich up the stairs Mein behind her.

"Like a district assembly," he says annoyed

"Really today didn't we have one last week?" she walks up next to him "What's this one about?"

"This one is about gold found in the winery district, it was near mount Kaser" he says opening the walking up the stairs inside of the castle. "Now go and get ready before i have to say it again"

She sighs "alright fine" she runs down to her room, Mein running after her.

"So who did you go and see Rin," Mein asked still curious about who she went to go see. Mein is the one who manages her meetings. "I don't remember setting a meeting up for you in the middle of the night."

"No one special, just a guy i met" Rin answered easily now walking down the hallway to her bedroom door "okay?"

"Yeah sure..." Mein says standing outside of Rin's door.. "Wait a guy? You mean like a male human being?"

"Yes Mein now will you let me go get ready for the meeting we'll talk about this later okay?" Rin said closing the door before Mein could answer.

"Well okay she's cranky" Mein said walking away from Rin's room, and into her own room. She had to get ready too, she was too busy trying to find Rin that she couldn't get ready yet.

And inside Rin's room she was freaking out about how to tell Mein about seeing a poor orphanage family. She would have to just come straight out and tell Mein... she hoped Mein wouldn't be too mad.
