"Hurry noble!" Rin called out to her horse that was given to her by Roderich for her 15th birthday, she was racing towards the imperial city to surprise Alli by her visit. She left early in the afternoon and put her hair in ink and her common clothes on, she had left a note explaining she would be back in the morning.
"HIYA!" Rin screamed again, he could now see the lights of the city in the distance. Once she reached the outskirts of the city she tied Noble to a branch in the wood. "I'll be back i promise"
She was running through the city and turned through the familiar allyway and made a few other turns and reached the small door. She knocked and mommy in her pjs opened the doors and her eyes widened at the sight of Rin.
"Oh it's you Ren!" She jumped and hugged Rin knocking her back a little. "I haven't seen you in four months how are you?"
"Shh i'm here to surprise you Alli where is he?" She asked her voice quiet, but mommy's eyes dullen at the name Alli. "huh what's wrong did something happen to him?" Worry rising in her voice.
"Um well nothing is really wrong it's that, well ever since you left Alli has..." mommy stepped a side and let Rin walk in and they sat down on the couch and she lit a candle.
"Alli has what?" She was now getting antsy.
"Well when you left he became more cold and restless, he doesn't come out of his room much unless you count his... 'job'" mommy now had the most worried look on her face.
"Well is he here right now or is he doing a job?" Rin asked getting anxious. Mommy shook her head no.
"He's still doing a job," she answered and just as she said that a large thump came from upstairs. "I uh suppose thats him, but i recommend waiting a minute or two he usually changes after a job."
Rin nodded as they sat in silence for a good two minute, until they both heard him scream. "NO SHUT UP I'LL NEVER" Alli had screamed and Rin stood up and started climbing the stairs which were more like latters.
Once she had gotten up there she saw Alli holding his head but was asleep on his mattress, he was crying in his sleep. Rin walked over and lifted his head and put it on her lap, he seemed to calm down a little but was still looking sad and confused. She started to stroke his hair in a loving manner and sung a song her mother used to sing when she was scared of the thunderstorms when she was younger.

By the end of her little lullaby he was in such a peaceful state that she almost wanted to stay but she knew she couldn't, she had to leave now if she wanted to be back by morning. She put his head down and she went back downstairs and said her goodbyes to mommy and ran back to her horse in the woods. And she rode all night long to the castle.
