"The family of Meadow?" A young woman asked us.
Apollo and I stood up immediately. We quickly followed her to a room where our little sister was lying asleep.
"Thank you so much ms," Thomas told her. She smiled and left. Willow had small bandages over the scrapes on her arms and face but her leg was wrapped tightly and we were told not to touch it. I turned on the TV for a moment only to see the story of the lab "catching on fire."
"Red?" Willow managed in a dry raspy voice.
"Oh, my god," Apollo said hugging her close.
"Here, have some water." I handed her a cup.
"Where...Where are we?" she asked pushing herself up onto her hands.
"lay back down." I tilted the back of the bed up so she could lean back and still be sitting up a bit.
"We are at a hospital," Lucy told her.
"What happened?" Willow asked and I could see the panic she tried to hide.
"Don't worry about that right now. Just get some rest."
"Can we turn on the Tv? It's uncomfortably quiet in here."
"Yeah." I grabbed the remote and switched it on.
"Oh, my..." Apollo trailed.
"Is that..?" Lucy asked astonished. I got up and touched the tv screen.
"After more than half her life. Little Rachel Taylor came back to her parents after disappearing for nearly seven years, running away from her uncle named James Taylor who assaulted her in her own home, Who is now serving a 25-year sentence." The man on the screen told us. Next, to him, there was a picture of a young girl, not much older than Willow, but it was the picture next to that that took us off guard.
"Amber." I couldn't pull my face from the screen. (ODP:12/10/17)
