sun & moon | chapter 3

Chenle had just kissed him.

For a long moment, time froze, until Jisung's befuddled brain began to process the situation. An unexplainable fuzzy warmth spread from his chest - and he decided it was part of the sickness, but that wasn't an excuse of the sudden urge to do cartwheels around the room and scream at the same time. 

Hands trembling, he brought them up to his lips, where the remnant of Chenle's warmth lingered. The kiss had been brief, but to him it had felt like an eternity. A part of him deep down wished that he could've stopped time then, a part of him he didn't even know existed. The feeling was strange and foreign...and slightly terrifying.

Chenle slammed the door shut and pressed his back against it, the only solidity for the pounding in his chest. He felt his heart would burst, and he wished for nothing more than to melt into the wall and hide his burning face.

What did I just do!?

Chenle closed his eyes and buried his head in his hands, fingers trailing through his hair, until his knees finally gave out and he slid down the length of the door onto the floor. That had to be the most reckless, stupid thing he had ever done.

How do I face him now?

He took a shaky, steadying breath, attempting a mask of calm. Jisung doesn't know. And he intends to keep it that way - but he doesn't know why. Actually, he does.

Chenle is scared.

The real reason why he had never taken any first steps toward anyone in his life, was because he was scared. Afraid that they would resent him, that they wouldn't be able to accept it, and ruin friendships. Except now he broke that rule. So Chenle was terrified. He consoled himself with one thought.

On the other side of the door, separated from the other by only the door, Jisung felt his traitorous heart beat furiously.

Chenle: He doesn't know.

Jisung: He doesn't know how I feel.

Chenle: He doesn't know what I think.

Jisung: About him.

Chenle: About him.

Jisung: I -

Chenle & Jisung: I love him.
