Faith

I never wanted to have to bring up my marriage to Dan. It was becoming a faint memory. But then it came crashing back to me. I tried to take a nap but kept trying to listen to the faintest noise. These are not reflexes I want again. The door finally opens and Tim comes in. “It's all gone. Not a drop left.” “Good.” I said rubbing my eyes. “Can't sleep?” he asks sitting down. “No.” “Is it from me?” “Yes and no. You have to understand that it will take time for me to be able to trust you again.” “I understand. Just don't give up on me.” “You are worth fighting for.” I said putting my hand on his face. He leans into my hand and I move quickly. I kiss him with a newfound eagerness. As everything played out I could feel how sorry he was. When we were lying in bed he sings softly. “Tell me about him.” he says looking at me. “Okay.” I said before starting the story.
