Losing Sleep

(Lauren p.o.v.)
I land at the airport and get off the plane. I grab my bags and turn around and see leclaire standing there looking at me. Hey mama what are you doing here? I came and stayed at the house last week and decidedd to stay until y'all got here, Luke told me he was gonna come pick you up so I told him I would come get you to spend time with you before I leave. She tells me as she leads me out side to her car! We get to the house and get out I grab my bags and we go inside, she follows me up to my room and helps me unpack my things. 

(luke p.o.v.)

I come back up to the house after going for a quick swim since mama went and picked lauren up from the airport. i'm walking past the bedroom where lauren is staying when I hear mama ask her what's wrong she is quieter then normal. I stop and listen, I know it's wrong but I want to make sure she is ok. I'm fine mama I just have a lot on my mind right now! she tells her. What's going on? you just ain't actin right, and you know if you don't tell me you'll have to tell luke. Mama tells her and I nod my head as if they could see me. Mama I just really don't know what to do! I found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant and I don't know how to tell the father. Lauren tells mama as her voice cracks. Oh honey it'll be ok I promise. is it Justin's baby? Mama asks. No but the father is a good friend of mine and i'm afraid if I tell him he won't want anything to do with either one of us! Mama I need him in my life, he doesn't have to care for our child but I don't want to lose him he's been here for me for almost 8 years now and I want him here now, but I don't think he would stay! Lauren says as she starts to cry! I decide to act like I just walked by and heard her crying, I go in the room and pull her into a hug. See honey even if you don't have him, you'll always have luke to help you! mama says pointing at me. That's the thing mama i'm not sure I will! Lauren whispers as she pulls away from me. Oh my! Its him aint it?? Mama asks looking at me. it is! But I have to get out of here. lauren whispers as she walks out. I watch as she walks out the door, once I hear the front door shut I walk over to the wall and punch it! Damn it! I scream out forgetting about mama being with me. Thomas! Mama screams at me. i'm sorry, i'm just really frustrated! I tell her sitting in the floor. Why? She asks as she comes and sits in front of me. She thinks I would leave her and not want anything to do with her! Don't she understand that I love her!! I had planned on telling her sometime on this vacation!! Doesn't she know I could never do that to her! I tell mama. Oh so you heard our conversation? Mama asks shaking her head. I know I know its wrong to listen but I wanted to know what was wrong! She doesn't know I know and she's probably going to think about not telling me! oh god mama!! I cant lose her I love her! I Got to go!! I say as I jump up and run out the door to go find lauren.

I'm sitting down on the beach when luke comes running down to me. He grabs my hand and pulls me up and kisses me. I love you! Were you going to tell me? He ask as he pulls me into a hug. I was going to eventually when I knew I would be strong enough to be able to take the rejection. I tell him. No baby see you got it all wrong! I love you and was planning on telling you and asking you out while we were here. I heard your talk with mama, baby girl you have to know that I wouldn't leave you especially now! You were right I've been here for you for eight years and I ain't leaving now! And I'll  be damned if I didn't claim our child. He tells me as he wraps me in a hug and kisses my head. This Is where I need to be right now!
