Nova is now 1 years old and i'm taking nova with me to visit my friend Ashley, before we go surprise luke in ohio on saturday. We meet at a little diner near her house for lunch, then as we are walking out of the diner a little girl about 4 or 5 stops me. Are you lauren Alaina? She asks. I sure am darlin' would you like a picture? I ask her. Yes ma'am and If you don't mind can nova be in the picture to? she says as she looks up at me with big eyes. Sure sweetie I tell her. We take one with nova, then I squat down to take one with just us as she gives me a big hug. Her mom thanks me for taking pictures with her. Thank you sweetie for being such a big fan of mine, I love you sweet girl I tell her as I give her another hug. I love you to!bye bye! she says as she giggles before they walk away. I take nova back from Ashley we go back to her house for a while. We cook dinner at her house, I help clean up afterwards then decide to head home so I can get nova to bed then finish some last minute packing before driving up to ohio tomorrow. I get home and put nova to bed. As I walk out of her nursery jax walks through the door and lays down in front of the crib which has become his normal spot. I go into my room and finish packing the bags. I send luke a goodnight text, then go to bed since we are getting a head start early in the morning.

The trip up wasn't to bad just long. We made it in at about 3pm. I knew that cole was here so I sent him a text asking if he wanted to join me and nova for dinner. He texts back and tells me where he was planning on going so I get nova dressed then head over. We have dinner and he spends time with nova before leave. As i walk in the hotel room my phone rings showing me luke calling.

Hello! i answer as i sit the carseat down on the table, i put my phone down on the table after putting it on speaker. Hi darlin' what are you up to? he asks. Getting nova changed so we can just lay around and relax, we've been running around all day. That sounds fun, i wish we could relax together. Who knows maybe in a few weeks we can come out to visit. You know i would love that. So have you been writing any songs? ah a few lines here or there, but i'm getting back into it. i put the phone where nova can hear it and let him to talk to her for a little bit. Alright i'm gonna jump off here, we're on our way to ohio and i'm tired so i'm gonna head to bed. Love you both! We love you bye luke we'll talk to you tomorrow before sound check. Once we hang up kerri sends me a message "hey i'll meet you at the back door of the stadium at 11, sound check is at 12" i respond then get Nova to sleep, before i fall asleep.  We get up and i drive over to the stadium and meet kerri. Oh it's good to see you two again. she says as she leads us to where lukes dressing room will be, i see that he already brought his stuff in so that means he's already headed to sound check. i put my bags down and take nova out of her seat and let kerri hold as she leads us to side stage where luke, john, sam, and cole are standing on stage just talking before they start. kerri hands nova back and she giggles. Kerri heads out on stage telling them its time to start sound check, while me and nova back up so we ain't seen by luke yet. They all breeze through sound check and they take a group photo. As they are standing there kerri waves me out to sneak out to surprise luke. i motion to see if the mic is still on and she nods. i sit nova on my hip before grabbing the mic "cause you kiss me back together when i'm falling apart when the music's gone, i'm dancing to the beat of your heart" i sing out with nova babbling along like she's trying to sing with me. Luke turns and sees us and his face glows. He comes over grabbing nova giving her kisses before reaching over to pull me to him and gives me a kiss. My girls when did ya'll get here? He asks as he loves on nova. Drove up yesterday morning, hung out with cole then talked to you and crashed. i tell him as i watch nova give him kisses back. We all eat what was catered for everyone then they got ready for the concert. Everyone was having a blast so the concert flew by, we all said our goodbyes for now and before we knew it we was heading back to the hotel room where we were staying for the next 2 days since they had a small break. Its been a good weekend overall.
