Your Child Gets Jealous because of your Younger Child-

Luke: "Dylan!" You heard Luke yell from the kitchen as pots and pans hit the floor. "Luke! Why are you yelling at him?" You got up from the living room carrying your three month old son Ryder closely to your chest. "I was warming Ryders bottle and Dylan knocked all the pots and pans off the shelf." He grabbed the bottle and went to hand it to you, but you gave him the baby instead. "I'll talk to him, alright? Take Ryder upstairs and put him to sleep." He simply nodded, taking the child and making his way up the long stair case. "Dylan," you said as he went to leave the room. "Yes mommy?" He walked towards you and you knelt down to his level. "Why'd you do that when daddy was in the kitchen?" "Because I wanted him to play outside with me but he was doing stuff for Ryder." Tears started to form in his small, blue eyes and you pulled him in for a hug. "Are you jealous of Ryder?" You craned your neck to look at him and he nodded, wiping his tears off with his shirt sleeves. You kissed his head before standing up. "You want me to take you to the toy store baby?" He nodded and you saw a smile come onto his face. "Okay, go get ready and we'll go in ten minutes." He ran up the stairs quickly, you following him shortly after. "Hi," you said as you passed Ryders room. Luke turned to face you, coming over and pulling you in for a kiss. "I'm gonna take Dylan to the toy store in a couple minutes." He caressed your cheek before kissing you again. "Okay. I'll make dinner for when you get back." He pecked your forehead as Dylan came in the room. "Mommy lets go!" He pulled your hand and you gave him a smile.

Ashton: "Ashton!" You yelled as your two sons were fighting in the living room. Your older one who was ten was attacking his six year old brother because he thought he was playing whatever video game they were playing wrong. "Michael, you know the rules and you killed me!" Your oldest Robert yelled. "I don't know them! You told me how to play!" Michael lashed out against your arms. "Ashton!" You yelled again and you heard him running down the stairs, quickly picking Robert up and putting him in a chair. You turned to Michael and saw his brother scratched his face and part of his neck. "Robert! Why'd you just maul your brother?" Ashton was holding his shoulder and looking down at him. Neither of you had seen him act out like this, but lately he's been acting strange. "Because! Because...he deserved it mom! He cheated and he knew it!" "Robert, why did you hurt Michael?" He leaned down in front of him and put his hand on his shoulder. "Because the only way you or mom would notice me is if Michael got hurt." Ashton turned to look at you, and you just stared back at Robert. "Robert, if you want to talk to us you know you can sweetheart. But hurting your brother isn't right." "I know mom. But this is the first time you've noticed me in a while." You walked out from behind Michael and over to Robert. "I've always noticed you sweetie. I've never stopped since you were born. Just come talk to me or dad next time okay?" He nodded before hugging you tightly. You hugged him back and motioned for Ashton to go check on Michaels neck.

Michael: "Y/N, I can't find my car keys," Michael said as he threw everything around the room. "Did you look on the kitchen counter?" You mumbled seeing as you were barely awake. "Yes. I looked in every damn place. I have no idea where the hell they went!" He threw a blanket up and groaned in frustration. "Check Lucys room, you know she likes taking things." He nodded before going to your four year old daughters room. He came back in a minute holding his car keys. "Why do you think she's been taking everything lately?" You shrugged and noticed the baby monitor go off with a shrill shriek coming from not only the device but down the hall. "It's Molly. I'll go check on her." You got out of bed and walked into your two month olds room. You noticed something was wrong. "Hi baby," you cooed down at her and she stopped crying. But she was still whimpering. You noticed her blanket was gone and she was shivering slightly. "Come here," you said lifting her up from under her armpits and wrapping her in your sweater and pressing her against your chest. You started looking around the house for her blanket and found it in Lucys room. "Lucy, sweetie, can I have Mollys blankie?" You said standing in the doorway. "No, it's not hers its mine." You knew this phase of her life was coming, where she would become defiant. "Lucy, yours is pink, Mollys is red. Can I please have the blanket?" "NO! IT'S MY BLANKIE!" She went into her closet and shut the door. "Michael!" You yelled covering one of the babies ears. "Go talk to Lucy she took Mollys blanket." He nodded and went into the room, going straight for the closet door. "Hi Lucy, it's daddy. Can I come in?" She cracked the door and looked at him before opening the door. "Lucy, why did you take Mollys blankie when you know its hers?" She looked at the red fabric in her hands before giving it to Michael. "Because mommy wouldn't let me play house yesterday. She said since Lucy was sleeping she had to work." Michael looked down at the tiny blanket and ran the material over his hands. "Lucy, you know mommy has been tired since Molly was born. You'll learn to get used to it okay baby?" "But what about when I want to play?" "Well that's what daddy is for!" He opened his arms and motioned for her to give him a hug. "I'm always gonna be there, alright princess?" "Alright daddy. I love you."

Calum: "Stop it! You know that's mine!" As usual, every day at four your daughters would argue about what there was to eat or drink, how they called dibs on it, and a bunch of other stuff that you would make you want to leave the house for a few hours. "Alyssa! Stop yelling at Kayla!" Calum yelled from your bedroom where the two of you were watching Skyfall. "Dad, she knows that I wanted the last can of Coke and she's drinking it like the fat ass she is!" Alyssa your older daughter yelled back. "This is for the two of us," you groaned, pausing the movie and getting out of bed. "Can't we sell them or something?" He said as he followed you downstairs. When you walked in, you were greeted with flour being thrown in your face. "Look what you did Kayla!" Alyssa yelled in her direction. "I just wanted the damn soda you bitch!" She yelled back before taking a water bottle and squirting her with it. "Hey, both of you stop it!" Calum wrapped his arms around the two of them and pushed them apart. "You always stand up for her! It's been like that since day one!" Alyssa yelled at both of you. "Probably because all you ever do is complain about everything!" Kayla shouted before she started crying. "Kayla, come here," you said pulling her into your grasp. "Don't you guys see! You just...you baby her cause she is the baby!" Calum stepped in front of the sink and got a wash cloth. "Alyssa, what's wrong?" He asked quietly, wiping flour off her face. "I just want you two to give me as much recognition as you give her. I'm smart too, I'm good at sports, I'm good and better at what she does but you never notice." She started crying and Calum hugged her. "Alyssa, your mother and I have always been proud of you. Don't you doubt that for a second. We recognize your sister because even though you both are great at everything you do, she works harder." She wiped her eyes and looked down. "Don't make it sound like I'm scolding you. I want you to know, no matter what, I'm proud of you because I know it's been hard. I love you Alyssa I don't want to see the two of you fighting." "I love you too dad, and I'll stop," she cried into his shoulder. At least now you knew what the problem was and you could work on it.
