RILEY’S P.O.V

“What’s your both problem with her, guys?”  Toby dragged us into my room and locked it, by the time he was asking for a ‘serious talk’ after the dinner.

“Nothing’s happening.  What’s your concern anyway?”  Connor dismissively replied.

“She’s very nice to us, but since the very first time she came in here, I knew there’s something wrong about you two.”

“Like what?”  I looked at him.

“Like those rudeness!  Don’t you think Mom and Dad realize it?  We’d never so rude to people guys, remember that!”

“Let us be. We know what we’re doing.”

“Oh, ’WE’?  You’re together at this or what?”  Toby raised his voice.

“Spoke the right thing, little bro.”  And there Connor was already zoned out with his guitar.

“Okay sorry about this but please, Ella’s really nice.  She wants to be your friend.  I didn’t see what’s so wrong about that.  The fact that she’s going to the same school with us, with you especially Ri, how can she stand over your rude expressions and comments at school?  Check this out; she did nothing wrong.  I consider her as friend; not our housemaid.  But even if she is the housemaid, what’s so wrong about that?”

I felt Toby slapped me on the cheek by his words.  I knew I was wrong.  But I just couldn’t stop this rudeness and don’t ask me why.

CONNOR’S P.O.V

Toby’s right; she did nothing wrong.  But I just couldn’t get it, why did I have to be so rude to her.  She cleaned my room perfectly well done; good in cooking stuff, helped Mom a lot, and once she bought us Starbucks after she and Mom went back from the market.

“Con, what do you think about it?”  Toby put his arm around my shoulder.

“Nothing bro,”

“Don’t fool me.”

“Nothing, I’m tired, the next project’s killing me.”

“See?  It’s the project stuff, not her fault.  Is there any other reason for you two to keep the rudeness going on?”

I remained silent, so did Riley.

“That’s it.  Thinking about what I was telling you tonight.  I’m going to protect her from your silly comments when you think this is far from over.  You got it?  Night bros!  Love you!”

“Night,” Riley stood up and headed to his own room, leaving me with so much things to think of.
