"Goodbye, Honey Drop! I'll come and pick you up in a few hours!" Mint Iris waved at Honey Drop, then flew back down under the cloudy land of Cloudsdale, to Ponyville.

"I still don't get why Mommy wanted me to go to this pegasus school." Honey Drop muttered to herself, opening the door to the schoolhouse.

Honey Drop looked up. The students had turned their heads to glance at her, then carried on with their conversations. The teacher, a pretty cream red-haired mare, was leading students to desks one at a time.

"Hello, there! You're Honey Drop, I assume? I can tell from your beautiful golden mane!" The mare came up to Honey Drop, twirling her hoof in Honey Drop's golden hair, which looked like it was dripping.

"Y-Yeah." Honey Drop stuttered shyly, glancing around.

She had never been in a room with so many ponies before! It was strange to hear so much sound, usually, all she would hear was the soft lingering buzz from the sewing machines echoing in the halls like sleepy bees. Sassy Saddles wasn't the talkative type, so Honey Drop never really had anywhere to go or anyone to talk to. At times, it was quite lonely. Honey Drop's eyes drifted away from the teacher.

"Well, I'm your teacher, Miss Arrosa. Follow me!" Miss Arrosa introduced herself cheerfully, leading Honey Drop to an empty seat in the back of the room.

Miss Arrosa left Honey Drop at the desk, and started directing other students. Honey Drop slid onto the seat and set down her stack of supplies. Flipping open a notebook, she doodled for a few minutes until Miss Arrosa smacked a hoof to her desk loudly.

"Good morning, students! I have already introduced myself, so I would love it if you all said my name right now." Miss Arrosa said kindly, then wrote her name on the chalkboard with her bright red magic. "One, two three!"

"Good morning, Miss Arrosa!" All of the students chanted, some at different paces.

"Very well done, children!" Miss Arrosa cheered, clapping her hoofs together. "Now, we have a new student attending from Canterlot. Can you come up?"

Miss Arrosa, walked down the aisle, stopping next to Honey Drop's desk. The students stared at Honey Drop. Honey Drop gulped and stood up, following Miss Arrosa to the front of the classroom.

"Well, tell us your name and a little bit about yourself!" Miss Arrosa said, nudging Honey Drop gently.

She felt the stares burning into her.

"I-I'm Honey D-Drop, and I live in Canterlot with my m-mom." Honey Drop said nervously, looking at the floor.

"Don't you have a dad?" Called out a pink mare.

Honey Drop's eyes dampened. The truth was, she didn't know who her dad was, where he was, she had no knowledge whatsoever. She looked up, her eyes glazed over.

"I don't know. Mom hasn't told me." Honey Drop sniffed, then marched back to her seat, with her head held high.

Miss Arrosa put on a huge fake smile, glancing around at her students. Everyone was staring at Honey Drop. Miss Arrosa cleared her throat, then the students turned their attention back to her.

"Well yeah, students, welcome back to Miss Arrosa's School For Foals, for your last year before you are released into the world by yourself!" Miss Arrosa said, then dropped a big book onto her desk with a crunching thud.
