Dinner With The Matthews.

The reason for Carter and Perry being so close starts with their dads, they were roommates in college and Their moms were roommates, the met started dating each other and been the best of friends ever since for the good, the bad and the ugly.

Perry's mom found out she was having a baby her senior year of college and ended up having a healthy baby boy and named him Paul, three years later came Perry and just about 5 years ago Mina was a surprise. 

Paul was killed when 10 years old, play baseball he was running and the pitcher threw the ball so hard Paul didn't realize the ball was coming in his direction and the impact caused his skull to crush and he was brain dead, their mom was heartbroken but with the support of family and of course the Price's everyone managed to move on.

Carter's family are like modern hippies, they might even smoke but Perry has no evidence. Carl JR is the oldest and Carter is the youngest.

There was a knock at the door

Perry ran to open it and it was The Price family.

"Hey, Perry, whats happening kid!" Mr. Price said.

They all hugged. 

"Oh, i smell your mother's famous seafood dish, lucky i brought the bread!" Mrs. Price said.

Last to walk in was Carter... he rolled his eyes at his parents " Can't take them anywhere." 

The boys dashed upstairs and into Perry's room

He glanced at Carter and noticed something was off. "Something wrong?"

Carter sighed and sat on the bed next to Perry.

"You being gay never bothered me, we always knew especially when our brothers use to play and bring us, you rathered being the cheerleader and that was cool, i love how you didn't give a fuck then and you still don't, that's how me mesh together so well."

"Before you say anything else, i am sorry for even giving people ideas that you might be interested in me because you are protecting me, but i thought that's what friends are supposed to do?"

Carter shrugged and smirked " I think so, but i need to know if-"

"BOYS COME DOWN DINNER IS READY!" 

Carter sighed and followed behind Perry.

"Carla How's Carl doing in college?" Mrs. Matthews asked.

"He's doing good, he is due home for the holidays, you know he can't wait to come see you guys." Mrs. Price said.

"Only because we are the coolest god-parents ever," Mr. Matthews said.

Carla looked at Perry than to his mom " Paula, Carl thinks of Paul often, he knows in his heart they would have been roommates like their dads were." Carla said.

"I know he misses him, we do too alot, and i know they would have carried the legacy... but Carl is doing a fine job doing that now," she said.

Dinner went on and then finally Carter found his moment to finish what he was trying to say earlier, 

Perry was standing at his computer "Homework is so lame, like why can't we have work in school and get it done."

When Perry turned around Carter grabbed him and kissed him it was long and passionate 

"Woah"

"Wow"

"what did you do that for Carter?" 

"Sorry, i had to see if that meant anything to me." 

"Did it mean anything to you?" 

"No.. no it didn't, you are my best friend." 

"True, it didn't mean anything either, just had to see for me." 

"Well next time let me know in advance, you got seafood breath." 

"And not a word to anyone... especially Quinn!" 

Perry nodded his head.

Carter walked out of the room and closed the door behind himself and he stopped and leaned against the door...  He was lying he did feel something when he kissed Perry.

Did that just happen? Perry thought to himself.
