It's quite funny how my life went from high school and hospital visits, to big guns and bank robberies. It never felt right at home. I was your stereotypical good girl (apart from me killing my boyfriend. Never found guilty though) but it was so fake. Death and chaos manifested my brain.
I was sat in the back of J's van. There weren't exactly seats so I was leaning against his seat, facing the back doors.
"Ever shot a gun before?" One of Jokers men asked slyly. I was clutching the cold metal in my hand.
" no. Would you like my first time to be on you?" I smile sweetly.
"Woooh weeeee!" J yelled "My little firecracker! " he shoots the roof of the van with his pistol enthusiastically. A giggle escapes my mouth.
"Boss is she actually gonna be able to help us?" A tall and skinny henchmen with blond hair named Mike says in a questioning tone.
"Ex-cuuse me? She is more capable than any of you pathetic pieces of cow shit." Joker sneers. "You're lucky I even let your dumbass hold one of my guns," He continues driving.
"No no no... they have the right to be skeptical. Slow down the car J." I open the window in the back and focus the gun on a bird. The bird is sat on a traffic light about 20 yards ahead. Closing one eye, my finger touches the trigger softly. the loud bang sends sends shockwaves throughout my body as the small bird falls to the ground. We drove through the red light and black feathers rain down on the car.
I don't know if my perfect shot was because of my eagerness to impress J, or from my resentfulness towards his men. Either way I was proud.
Joker laughs childishly as his men sit with their mouths shut. I put down the gun and role up my sleeve, feeling one of the many J's that littered my body. It's starting to form a scar.
I couldn't help but feel sad at the thought of these being on me for ever. They were jagged and ugly, but they gave me an excuse. An excuse to be myself. The shy girl who let people walk all over her and tell her what to do is gone.
The car stopped near the back of the bank. I followed Mista J because I was unsure what to do. He wasn't wearing a mask (for obvious reasons) but the rest of us were. We barge into the bank and his men begin shooting the ceiling to get everyone's attention.
"This is a robbery. Hand over
The money and nobody gets hurt." Mike yells. J clears his throat. "Okay a few people will get hurt""Get all the money from the all the tellers." J tells me as he walks to the back.
I nervously walk towards the front and hesitantly shoot at the glass with my machine gun. Shooting the gun gave me a sudden burst of confidence.
"Put all the money in the bag!" I yell. "Any funny business and I shoot your head off!" I try and remain confident.
I do the same to all the others and two bags are full in under two minuets. J and Mike come from the back room dragging four bags, while two other men carry small bags on their shoulders. I herd all the tellers onto the floor. Mike and I tie them up and cover their eyes with blindfolds.
Suddenly the van crashes trough the front of the bank. J hops in and the rest of us follow suit carrying the bags.
The van drives out of the rubble and back into the road. We begin to hear sirens and my heart starts beating at a rather alarming rate.
"You know Monica. They're schemers. Trying to control their little worlds." He gestures with his hands. "Introduce a little anarchy, and everything becomes chaos." He turns to me and smiles mischievously.
