Still clutching his staff with his eyes closed Chat slid to a stop. How? What happened? I never let go of my staff, so how was I falling? Now confused chat made his way home, careful with his staff. The rest of the day he stayed in his room doing homework. While doing his math homework Adrien's pencil fell onto the ground. it slipped right out of his hand. When he tried to pick it up he couldn't lift it. He tried to pick up his backpack off the floor. He grasped the strap but it would not move. Then he spotted pencil shavings on his desk but when he tried to brush them off they would not move. He could feel them, touch them, but not move them. Adrien heard a knock on the door. "Come in." He called, but no one came. There was another knock on the door but this time he heard Nathalie's voice. "Adrien? Are you here? Your father wanted me to tell you, you have a photo shoot in the park." Adrien ran to the door. "Nathalie! Can you hear me?" Adrien tried, but no matter how much he pulled and twisted the doorknob would not move. "Nathalie?" No answer came. He started to walk away but Nathalie opened the door. "Adrien? Are you here?" He was standing two feet in front of her, she was staring right through him. Adrien was speechless, he reached out and touched her on the shoulder but nothing. Nathalie sighed and walked away. Adrien then hurried to the bathroom. Once he got there he looked into the mirror. Nothing, he wasn't there. I need help.... I need my lady. Then something happened he could see himself, faintly. He started to fade in. Then he disappeared, then re-appeared. It was like he was... glitching. "Plagg, claws out!" After his transformation, he disappeared again. He sighed and jumped out his window, then he remembered what happened with his staff. But this time is costume was invisible too, so his staff was working fine. It was getting late and pretty dark so ladybug must be waiting for him to do patrol. Finally, he found her on a rooftop. Chat dropped down next to her, for a second she looked right at him. Then she looked away. She cant see me either. "My Lady, I need your help." He waited a minute hoping she would hear him, reply, say something. Nothing. No answer. Chat sighed, he had hoped one person, the one person he loved, could see him. But he was invisible, even to her. One thing was clear now, She doesn't love me. It was hard, but it was the truth. It's time I face it. She has rejected me so many times. I should have understood, she has feelings for someone else. Chat took one more look at her and left. I need some time to think. Then he left. Ladybug looked around. She was getting worried, Why isn't he here? He has never missed patrol. After patrol ladybug made her way home. Marinette was still worried about Chat, then she started sketching. It was a new clothes line, but this time instead of making it for Adrien, it was for chat. She couldn't stop thinking about him. At first, she thought it might be because he never showed up at parole. But she kind of missed having him there. His jokes and laughter always made her enjoy parole much more.
