Marinette came up the stairs with cookies. "It's only a plate of cookies, it's the only thing I could grab since we just ate. I told my dad I wanted something to eat while I was studying." Chat smiled at her. "That's just fine princess, I love the cookies from your bakery." Marinette smiled and handed him the plate, he grabbed it and ate a cookie thankfully. Then he realized something. "Marinette!" He exclamed. Marinette whirled around. "Look!" Chat said holding up the plate. "You can hold it!" He grabbed another cookie and set the plate down. He walked to her backpack and pulled on it by the strap but it wouldn't budge. He frowned but he was too hungry to really care. His hunger was just hitting him hard now that he started to eat. He sighed and sat back down next to his plate of cookies on the floor. He grabbed the plate but that wouldn't budge either. "What!" Chat said annoyed his food wasn't moving. Then he thought about it. "Hey Marinette, can you hand me the plate?" She nodded but looked a little confused. She picked up the plate and gave it to him. He could hold it now. "It's you." He said, "it's only you." Chat shoved another cookie in his mouth. So......hungry...... "Why me?" Marinette wondered out loud. Neither could figure it out. Chat finished his cookies pretty fast. He wanted to eat more but didn't want to ask Marinette to sneak more food upstairs. He only sighed and his stomach growled. "I'm sorry, you haven't eaten in days and all I have for you is a plate of cookies." Chat sighed now feeling like a rude house guest. "Princess," he grabbed her hand. "It's okay" She smiled at him. "I will get you something more to eat." She came back with leftover soup and bread from dinner. "Here you go." She said handing him a bowl and spoon. He ate, probably like a pig but he was hungry. The large meal satisfied his hunger, but he was still a little hungry. He decided not to say anything and hoped she would feed him breakfast tomorrow morning. It was Thursday night so Marinette had school. They kept talking and it started getting later. At about ten o'clock Marinette looked at the clock. "Chat it's getting late," he dreaded these words. He didn't want to go, he didn't have anywhere to go. Even if he tried to go back to his house his window would be closed and he would have no way to get in. But he knew she wanted him to go. "Yeah your right." He agreed with a fake smile. Marinette could tell something was bothering him. He got up and so did she. She opened the door for chat and smiled at him. "Before you go," she stopped him from climbing out. "You came here every day after the last akuma?" When chat nodded she went on. "You can come and visit, everyday if you want. I can help you figure out what is going on... Well, I can try." He smiled again. She is so sweet. "Thank you princess" he replied, he kissed her forehead and jumped out the trapdoor. He jumped off her roof and onto the next. When he got home the windows were closed, the doors too. There was no way in. Now what? Chat began thinking of somewhere to sleep. Somewhere warm, it was freezing. It was mid-November and he was trapped outside all night. Chat went to the front of his house and read the thermometer. It was 48° fahrenheit, and it was going to get colder. Chat shivered and started making his way around the city. He landed on the effiel tower. He sat down on the cold metal and his teeth chattered as the wind blew. I would give anything to be with my princess right now...anything.  Chat woke up the next morning, early. He found a clock on the outside of a store. School starts in a half hour. Maybe I can walk with my princess. Chat shivered again. It was still really cold. How did I even sleep when it was this cold?  Finally chat made it to the bakery and found his princess half way down the street on her way to school. "Marinette!" *Achoo* Chat sneezed and Marinette turned around. "Hi Chat!" *Achoo* he sneezed again. "Did you sleep well?" She asked. *Achoo* "Yeah, I-- *Achoo* slept-- *Achoo* fine." Chat sniffled and then coughed. "Chat are you okay?" Marinette asked him. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks princess." He said putting his hand on her face. But Marinette jumped back and chat instantly regretted that. "I'm sorry prin--"
"Chat!! Your freezing!" He coughed again. "Oh." She touched the back of her hand to his face. "Your burning up." She told him. Just then Chat got really dizzy. Marinette said something but chat want paying attention. Everything started to get darker, and darker until he couldn't see anything. "Chat!!...................... Chat?.....Chat! Come on..." He opened his eyes to his princess. He was laying on the ground in an alley and Marinette was on the ground with his head in her lap. "You scared me to death!" Chat propped himself up. "What?"
"You passed out! For nearly five minutes! I had no idea what to do, I'm just glad your up now." Chat tried to stand up but he swayed from side to side. It was hard to stay balanced. "Chat, you are still freezing." Marinette grabbed his arm and steadied him. "How long have you been outside?" She asked, leading him out of the alley. "Umm," he tried to think but he was so un-focused. "Since yesterday night. After I left your house."
"What!? Where did you sleep?"

"The effiel tower. I couldn't get in my house."

"Oh chat, you could have came back."
They were now at Marinette's house. "Do you think you can get up to the roof?" She asked him looking up from the street. He nodded "yes"
"Okay, I'm going to tell my parents I don't feel good, and I'm staying home from school, I will meet you upstairs." Before chat had time to say anything she ran inside. He used his staff to get to the roof and he waited for her. A few minutes later she opened the door. He jumped in, but when he landed on her bed he crippled. He didn't realize how weak he was. Marinette quickly closed the door and chat felt a rush of heat. It was so warm... Marinette sat next to him.  "What about school?" He asked her. "You can't just skip." He said, eyelids dropping. "It will be fine chat." That was the last thing he heard before drifting off to sleep.
