In today's modern world people struggle to fit into the picture of society we paint ourselves. Haunted by her past, Leanne's views have changed. Fitting in has become her number one priority and to do so she has to be society's definition of beautiful.
This means wearing all the right clothes, caking yourself in makeup, concealing your flaws and hiding what makes you different or stand out.... At least to her.
Makeup: cosmetics applied to the face to enhance or alter appearance
People use makeup for different reasons such as:
-to cover up blemishes
-to feel beautiful/pretty
-special occasions
-to experiment
Or because they just want to and there is nothing wrong with that.
But Lea uses these reasons as excuses for wearing excessive makeup when questioned and nobody spares a second thought or glance. That is until Blake Henderson came along.
He sees right through her façade and empty words. He knows that there is more to her story. He sees the lonely girl imprisoned inside of her, struggling to break free and to be heard.
