Marauders Era: The Phantoms

1. Before Hogwarts

My adoptive brother, Leo, my cousin, Oxy, and myself were all at our house. Oxy always stayed with us during the summer. I always thought that our parents Rose, my mother, and Rosy, my father, adopted Oxy. She was like a sister to us.

It was the morning before we were to get our letters. The twins, Fred and George Weasely, were also over. The five of us were super close. Our letters all came at the same time. We were so excited that we all got our letters Oxy and I worried that we might not get our letters because we didn't show as much as accidental magic as the boys did.

"Children, breakfast, after breakfast we will go to Diagon Alley."

"Coming mom," Leo and I raced down the stairs. I won getting to the table first like always. "Good morning, mother," we said at the same time. Oxy and the twins sat down at the table a little after us.

"Good morning Aunt Rose," the rest of them said.

"Good morning children. Breakfast, eat what you can." Our mother never made us eat more then we could. I had a terrible appetite so it was hard for me to eat that much, Oxy she was small and didn't eat that much but more than me.

We hurried and ate what we could. Once we were all done the dishes flew into the sink where they started to scrub themselfs.

"Children, lets go. Behave in public, now let me see a list." Our mother did most things on her own as father was at work most of the time. He was always around on the weekend though and he always spent Saturday with us. Somehow Leo ended handing over his list because he was closest.

"So the order will be trunks, robes while we are there we'll get your cloak and gloves, books, everything you need for potions, then wands, after you can get an owl or a cat." Our mother was soft spoken but she always had a plan, she was a Ravenclaw. Our father was a Hufflepuff.

We took the floo to the leaky cauldron in Diagon alley. There were to be a lot of muggleborns that will come through there. Two of us with long blonde hair, brown and blue eyes, two red heads and then Leo who had short light brown hair that was wavy even at a short length and blue eyes we were a sight to see.

Some people liked to stare at us but we didn't let them bother us we we're purebloods so we conducted ourselfs that fitting of purebloods. I mean we didn't hate muggles or whatever but that didn't mean we we're best friends either with them.

First we got new robes and cloaks even the Weaselys who most thought were poor but honestly they were well off. We got new dragonhide gloves and new dragonhide boots. They couldn't say anything about our footwear.

Next we stopped to get our books I might've grabed one on the wards/protective spells and another on rare and uncomon jinks and Oxy might've grabbed a few extra just in general. Leo grabbed a book that was meant for people who we're trying to become a mediwizard and the Twins got books about mapwork and pranks.

After a quick stop to get every miscellaneous item we needed we were headed to get our wands. Ollivanders was empty as we were the only ones there. The twins went first and the second wand they touched choose them. Leo, Oxy, and I went next. Leo's third wand choose him. Oxy's seventh wand choose her. My fourteenth wand choose me. My wand was very rare because it choose only one person for life. There was never going to be another person that will choose it. It is very powerful I was told.

Afterwards the Twins got an owl to share, peppermint, was there great horned owl. Leo and I chose to get our own owls. I choose an eagle owl who was mainly black who I named Sal. Leo chose a snowy owl he named Snowball. Oxy got a knezel who took to the name Alabastar. Alabaster seemed to get along well with the owls but it makes sense as he was a stray we found around there.

We headed to get ice cream before we headed home. But ended up runing into some unpleasantly unexpected people.

"Malfoy, Avery." I said nonchalantly. I did not like those two but I wasn't going to let them know that. They were only two years our elders.

"Ms. Moid, Mr. Moid, Weasels." Malfoy didn't even acknowledge Oxy which it upset me but I played it off as cool indifference.

"We are about to get some ice cream, maybe you could find something for your taste of blood." I dragged Oxy with me. The boys follow us we didn't wait around to hear what they were going to say. We ended up chatting about anything and everything. Alabaster was still with us but our owls few home.

On our way home we passed knockturn alley and saw a boy with black hair. He looked to be poor but that didn't bother me. Some how this boy already held my interest. As I was getting dragged off by my brother and Oxy I thought that if I were ever to run into that boy again I would get to know him. Sharing a look with the Twins we knew that Oxy and Leo didn't see him. I knew the Twins were thinking something around the same lines as what I was.

"Go put everything away in your trunks and settle your pets children. I'll make lunch. After lunch you can read your class books." Oxy and I shared a room. Leo had his room that the twins shared with him when they were here for any amount of time.

After lunch which we had cold cuts we started on our school books to read them through at least once. The boys tried to get out of it but not very hard.

"What class do you think well be the easiest?" I asked after we read the first two chapters in each of our school books.

"I say charms, herbology, and flying. I mean we've been flying since we knew what a broomstick was." Said Leo. I knew Leo would do well in charms that is what his wand seemed to perfer.

"Well we think-" George started

"That it's important to-" Fred continued

"Know all of our basics." They finished together

"Well I'm looking forward into learning everything I can." Said Oxy. The twins were holding a poll to see weather she would get into Ravenclaw or Slytherin. It was decided I would be a Slytherin without much debate. Leo it was between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Most were thinking Hufflepuff but I knew my brother he would be a Gryffindor though. The twins it was decided were to be in Gryffindor with the rest of their family.

"I'm looking forward to potions and defence against the dark arts the most." Everyone who knew me knew that nothing would stop me from learning the dark arts but no one was saying dark arts we all said defence.
