Chapter 4: Dead and Buried

Nobody's P.O.V

As the three figures approached Lucy she was greeted with a baseball bat to the face, ribs and stomach. She fell to the ground and into a deep slumber hearing the last words.

"Drop Dead."

She didn't recognise the voice. As soon after her ears were filled with ringing sounds.

It was now 4:30 and the blonde haired girl was still lying on the floor as she had not waken up yet. Soon enough the schools football team came out since their practice had just ended.

Natsu's P.O.V

Me and the boys had just finished football practice. We were all still laughing about how Gray managed to loose his trousers and they were actually hidden behind the toilet. Don't worry he did find them eventually.

"So when's the next big game?" I asked curious so I know when I need to get in extra practice. "Well it should be next- LUCY!" I stood dumb founded about what he ment by next Lucy until he pointed at a girl laid on the floor. I could see her long beach blonde hair and I knew in an instant that's what he meant by Lucy.

"What the hell happened here!" Gray shouted as he ran over. He was nervous and clearly upset. I was heartbroken to see Lucy in a state like this. I don't know whether I still have feelings for her after all this time.

I ran over to her and looked at her face and saw a big bruise I then noticed how she was clenching onto her stomach and ribs. God she's going to kill me for doing this.

I lifted up a bit of her t-shirt which was now stained red and saw that her stomach and ribs were now an explosion of purple's, green's and blues. I felt all the anger rush through my body. "When I find out who did this they are going to be dead."

Suddenly I saw her eyes twitch and I pulled down her top before she would get the wrong idea. When her eyes opened I held the side of her face and I looked into her eyes. Those chocolate happy ones. These eyes were full of fear and sadness. I so badly wanted to shake her and find out who did this. "Lucy. Who did this to you." I could see Gray telling all the others guys to go. After they went it was just me Gray and Lucy.

The tears started to fall from her face and I just picked her up and gave her a big hug. After I did that I picked her up and carried her on my back.

Lucy's P.O.V

I'm scared. I didn't know those girls were going to do that. Yet it was those last few words one of them said. I recognised that voice somewhere. I didn't realise I was on Natsu's Back. To be honest at this moment in time I didn't care. I'm happy he's here. I buried my head into his shoulder and I felt his unusual body heat keep me nice and warm.

"Thankyou.." Was all I said and I felt Natsu lift his hand up and place it in top of mine. "I'm taking you back to my place your mother would freak if she saw you like this" Natsu said as I could see his house coming closer towards us. "Hey Natsu I'm going to head off home. Lucy we will talk about this tomorrow." Gray said giving me a slight hug and walking off.

The rest of the journey was silent. It wasn't and awkward one just a comfortable one.
"We're here" Was all he said as we entered. I jumped of his back holding my stomach as that landing was a bit harder than expected. "Lucy what in God's name happened to you" I couldn't hold in my emotions any longer. I let them all pour out. My tears my sorrows.

"Shh. Shh. Don't cry you're safe now" he tilted my head up to make me look into his eyes and he placed his arms round me wrapping me into another warm hug.

When we broke apart Natsu walked into the kitchen and started to make soup. Whilst I went upstairs and got changed by putting on one of Natsu's big shirts. As I walked down the stairs my nose was intoxicated by a load of smells.

When I walked in the kitchen I caught a glimpse of Natsu placing the soup in the microwave. "What soup you making.." I asked quite nervous since we haven't really spoke that much.
"Chicken Soup" he said bluntly. Chicken soup was my all time favourite.

After we ate/drunk the soup we got sat on the sofa. The silence was uncomfortable. Until it was broken.
"What happened today" he looked at me asking wanting to earn the truth.

"Three girls.. they were all holding baseball bats they approached me and starting hitting me never stopping" at this point I had broken down into tears. "And?" He asked questionably. "One of them spoke they.. they.." I was lost for words. "They what Lucy!" He was getting angrier now I could tell the way his jaw clenched.

"They told me to drop dead.." I was broken when I saw his reaction. He was angry.. sad.. annoyed a mix of emotions. He let out a long sigh.
"If I ever find who did it.. I'll kill them myself" he mumbled but I was still able to hear. The tears were flooding again.
"Natsu I was so scared! I wanted them to end the pain! I thought they were going to kill me Natsu!" At this point I didn't realise I was shouting at him.

He put his head in his hands and didn't make a sound.

Does he not care..? Did he want me to get hurt more..

Where did my Natsu go..

He stood up and walked over towards me and embraced me in his big arms and engulfed me into a hug. I buried myself into his shoulder as he rested his chin on top of my head. I was shaking still terrified.

Natsu's P.O.V

How dare someone hurt Lucy. I still love her but I don't want her to go again. I gave her a hug as it wasn't just her who needed one as well. I feel so happy but yet sad to see her shaken and terrified.

While we were in the hug I felt Lucy's body become heavy all of a sudden. I felt her arms drop to her sides.

Her breathing become slow and quiet.

Her fragile body slide onto the floor.

Her skin turn sheet white.

Lucy what's happening to You!

Why isn't she waking up.

"Lucy... LUCY!"

That's it for today's chappie! Sorry it took so long to upload. I've been so busy with school lately I didn't get enough time. Hopefully I will be able to keep on schedule.
