Grizzly Welcomes
Before I even had a chance to react, Lacey was already leading a protest march against it.
"Andy, you can't-"
But before she could finish her sentence, Andy had already interrupted her.
"Lacey, what have I said countless times today- and every other year?""Yeah but-"
"What have I said?"
"That we can't change bunkmates." She mumbled angrily.
"Exactly. Now -not that it's any of your concern, Miss Lane and Mr Jones will be sharing a cabin. And that goes for everyone else too- no changing bunkmates, okay?" Everyone mumbled okay before he began talking again.
"Good, for the rest of the evening you will be getting to know- or if you already know them, bonding a little bit more- with your new bunkmate. Tomorrow morning we will assign jobs to all of you, I need everyone up and in the main hall by 7:30 sharp.
That's all for now, enjoy your night and I'll see all of you tomorrow morning." He smiled before walking out.
As everyone began waking to their assigned bunkmates, Tilly turned to me with a shocked expression.
"I still can't believe you got roomed with Parker! You are so dead!"
"What?!" I exclaimed. "What the hell do you mean I'm so dead?"
"If Parker doesn't kill you, Lacey will for going anywhere near him."
"Well it's not my fault! It's not like I wanted to room with him in the first place!"
"You wound me sunshine." A deep voice interrupted from behind us.
This is going to be him isn't it? Fudge.
"But, just to let you know, it didn't want to room with you either."
Rude.
As I turned around, my suspicions were confirmed when I saw the same muscular build that was pointed out to me earlier by Tilly, but before I had a chance to reply he spoke again.
"Bambi, how you doing?" He smirked. "Still as innocent as ways I see." He laughed when she didn't reply, her face red.
"Grizzly? What are you doing over here?" A voice called from behind us.
"Just getting to know my new partner." He smirked looking at me. "You?"
"I'm paired with Tilly."
"Who?"
"Bambi." He laughed.
"Right; well if you two will excuse us, I'd like to talk to ..."
"Ivy." I narrowed my eyes at him.
My name was literally just called out for god sakes, does he have the memory span of a fish?!
"Right, Ivy. We'll see you guys later." He announced before leaving and dragging me with him.
"Jesus, do you mind not ripping my arm off?" I complained, retrieving my arm from his vice-like grip.
"Listen. Izzy-"
"Ivy." I interrupted, rolling my eyes.
"I didn't want to room with you and you didn't want to room with me, so how about we just stay out of each other's way and maybe this can work. I'll leave you alone, and you won't squeal when I have people over past curfew or there will be serious consequences; deal?" He sneered, the previously nice demeanour gone.
