Unexpected Bond
It had been 3 weeks since Parker and I agreed on a truce, and it was quite refreshing if I'm being honest. Parker kept his end of the truce, surprisingly, and he was actually being nice.
Well, as nice as Parker could be.
Still freaked me out a little at first but as much as it pains me to admit, he's not that hard to be around. Since Tilly and Felix have gotten adorably close, I found myself hanging around Parker on my days off because they seemed to always be together.
I never thought I'd willingly say this but; Parker and I are friends now. We're actually kind of close which I still find incredibly weird but I can't complain- it's better than fighting with him 24/7.
"Hey." Parker smiled, plopping down on the couch beside me.
Today was one of the rare occasions that we both had the whole day off.
"Hey, I thought you were supposed to be going out with Felix today?"
He groaned and threw his head back. "He ditched me again!"
"Tilly?"
"Yeah. I feel like I barely see him anymore."
"Parker you literally see him every day- he works with you." I laugh.
"Still! We haven't hung out, just the two of us, in weeks. He's always either with Tilly or both of you guys are tagging along."
I shot him an annoyed look.
"Not that I don't love your company." He smiled a little sarcastically.
I rolled my eyes.
"Look, they like each other, is it really so bad that they want to spend time with one another?"
"Yes! They can hang out all they want once Felix has the balls to actually ask her out."
I paused. "Okay, I agree with you there. Felix does need to ask her out because we both know Tilly would never make the first move." I ramble on. "But that's not the point, they have to deal with kids all day and being with each other is kind of like a stress reliever for them."
"Well I have to deal with the little rug rats too but you don't see me running off to some girl after every shift, complaining about my life now do you?"
I stared at him incredulously for a moment. "Isn't that literally what you do with me? All you do is complain about either Felix, the kids or the senior counsellors."
He opened his mouth fawning shock. "I do not!"
"Yes you do!" I laughed. "And before you say anything else, think about the conversation we're having right now?"
"... Okay you've got a point." He admitted before turning his head to the TV. "What are you watching anyway?"
I held back a laugh, knowing he's only asking because of what I just said. "America's Next Top Model."
"Ohhhh, What's happened so far?" He said getting comfortable beside me.
"Well, you know Christina?"
"The bitch?"
"Yes." I laughed. "She left!"
"No way!"
"Yeah, said she felt attacked by everyone else."
"That's ridiculous, she was the one bitching behind everyone's back- to be honest I'm surprised she wasn't put out sooner, her attitude sucked and don't get me stared on that runway walk."
