"Okay, I'm asking you ten questions. Reply as fast as you can." Austin says, focusing on the road- It says we get there in an hour.
"Shoot away." I put my iPhone to charge in the second charger his car holds.
"What's your favorite place in the entire world?"
"My kitchen, I love backing and cooking."
"Where did you go to school?"
"Providence in North Carolina."
"Seriously? I'm from Charlotte, North Carolina." Austin exclaims.
"Huh, this makes it way. Way better." Damn, we're finding similarities already.
"What do you do, and how long have you been doing it?"
"Well I'm a student at University of Southern California which you already know that. Of course. But, I'm studying to become an event planner but I'm more focused on weeding event planner.""What were you like as a little kid?"
"Yikes, a little annoying girl."
"You couldn't be that bad." He tries to help me out.
"Austin, baby- Believe me when I say I was annoying, I was the worse annoying kid." I freeze at the end, realization coming to me that I've just called him baby.
"Baby?"
"Uhh, you don't mind?" I wonder uncomfortably.
"Only if I can call you princess."
"Deal then.""What's on your bucket list?"
"Buying a house with my three best friends, go sky diving, shark cage diving. Just wild stuff."
"Do you have any nicknames?"
"Bow to my man. My best friends used to do a joke with it when we were little."
"Bow to my man?"
"Don't you dare start it now." I point out before a song comes on the radio.
"Wait, turn up the volume." I add and he does but he seems not to want to do it.
"Should have told
You how I really feel
A little in advanceThen I
Would've had some time
To go and work it out
I think I've lost my chanceFor the last 3 years I just hid it so well
Hoping that you'd figure it out because I never could tell it
Straight to your face." I sing but I can't sing at all so my voice cracks."Come on, Austin. Sing along."
"I don't know the song." I turn on my phone, using safari to google the lyrics."Wait, you're driving." I realize, oh damn.
"And you realized it now." He laughs as he turns right.
"Hey, be nice here. I'm grading the date." I giggle, covering my face thats going red.
"You're adorable." I lower my hands, looking at him.
"Me? You're hot." I blurt out.
"Hot?"
"Yeah, hot. Gorgeous, anything that is a synonym to that."
We spend the next twenty minutes getting to know each other better.
"How much?" I ask the lady talking from Austin's window, we have to pay per person to get in.
"Ten dollars for each, twenty in total." The lady replies.
"I'll take care of it." Austin points out.
"Then I'm paying for the snacks." I tell him as he hands her twenty dollars.
"Not today, baby. I brought you here, I'm paying."
"Enjoy it." The lady gives us a smile before Austin drives inside in a low speed.
"Not today? Are you asking for another date? That was quick." I speak up.
"Not yet, I want to ask you out formally."
"Aww, aren't you boyfriend material."
"Maybe."
Austin parks the butt of the car facing the screen, we hoop off the car and open the back.
He planned it out so well because he has it set it up with blankets and pillows... And snacks.
"You didn't have to do this." I tell him as he goes in.
"I asked you out." This boy is perfect.
He opens up his arm and I crawl in, laying my head on his chest and our legs tangled together. I grab the blanket beside me, wrapping it around us.
"What movie are we even watching?" I ask him, looking up.
"I don't even know."
"Oh Austin, good thing I like you." Is it weird that it feels like we haven't fucked yet but that's how we meet.We watch two movies, Dunkirk after Spider-Man: Homecoming. We wer supposed to watch one but we got too comfortable cuddle together to leave.
"Ready for hour drive?" I ask him as I close the trunk and he throws away the trash. I jog to the passager door, hopping in my spot with a blanket I took from the back.
"I was about to open the door for you." Austin says as he gets in.
"But ready." Austin adds.
"Can you drop me off at the building?" I chance the topic, I'm not sure if we're actually going to his house or if he doesn't wants that anymore.
"You don't want to come to mine?" He looks upset, bad choice.
"I would love to but I didn't know the offer was still up, after all we stayed for another two hours." I point out as I yawn.
"Go to sleep, I'll wake you up." I wrap the blanket around me, leaning against the window and closing my eyes.
