We sat down at a few tables with our food, and I got a text from my mom.
EOMMA: CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YUTO, YEO ONE, AND YOU WHEN YOU GUYS GET BACK. REMEMBER TO PACK EVERYTHING.
I chuckled and E.Dawn grabbed my phone.
"Your mom knows you're with those two?" I nodded and pocketed my phone.
"We used to play together in primary school, so our moms were friends, and I told her when I saw them the first night." I'd known the two boys before this summer, and it was nice that I ran into them again because we were better friends now and I'd have two more friends when I went back to school.
"Does she know about me?" I looked at him a little funny. Why did he care if my mom knew him? He'd never meet her. I mean of course I told her everything about him, but it wasn't like him to care about something so small.
"Of course, why?" He shrugged, and I just shook it off.
"So what school do you three go to?" I looked at one of the random girls, and felt bad because I hadn't taken the time to learn her name.
"Seoul Arts High School." She looked impressed.
"Yeah Yeo Na sings and does art, Yuto produces music and raps, and I just sing." Oo's and aw's went around and I looked at Yuto.
"Don't say it."
"Just once." I stuck my bottom lip out and clasped my hands together.
"Just one time." I cleared my throat and went to my lowest pitch and looked right at him.
"Yuto-da." He pretended to die on Yeo One's shoulder and the three of us laughed.
"What's Yuto-da?"
"It's like how he introduces himself before rapping. I did vocals for one of his projects for finals, and it was always so funny to me." Everyone started saying it here and there and now I felt bad for Yuto, but not too bad because I kept doing it too.
"We should walk around the boardwalk for a little, and maybe take that pretty trail behind that cute boba place." We all agreed, and cleaned up before we headed out.
"Yeo Na." I felt myself get pulled back, and it was E.Dawn. I felt bad for thinking it, but I almost forgot he was here, he was just so quiet while we ate.
"How come you never told me you sing and do art?" He wrapped his arms around my waist and walked behind me. He put his chin on my head, and we waddled together.
"Well you've never asked pabo, and I'm not gonna tell you anything you don't care about."
"What does that mean?" He let go of me quickly and I turned around. What was with him today?
"People usually ask about things they care about, and you've never asked about school,"
"So you thought I didn't care about you?" Was a he angry I didn't tell him about school? Really? He's never taken any interest in school, let alone my school, so why was he being pissy? He's never really asked about anything, so it's not a surprise he doesn't know anything outside of the time we've spent together.
"Why are you upset? You've never asked me about stuff like that, so I thought it'd make sense to not tell you." He sighed and I just tried to figure out what was wrong.
"Never?" I shook my head and he kissed me once.
"Sorry." He didn't let me say anything before he pulled me along to catch up with the rest. He was so odd. He was quiet for a long time after the talk, but it was just a matter of time before the sun went down and we were all partying like crazy, then the regular E.Dawn would come back.
[Meanwhile back at home]
Yen Na's Mom POV
The door bell rang, and I opened it to see a very large boy with a baby face, and a women who was my height in my doorway.
"Hi we are the new neighbors, and I thought we'd come say hi. Im Ji Soo and this is my very large son Woo Seok." He bowed again and I smiled.
"Come on in." He ducked a little to get through the door, and I noticed the plate of cookies in his hands. I put some tea on and went to sit in the kitchen.
"I'm Mi Na by the way. I would introduce my daughter, but she doesn't come back for another two days." I grabbed her picture off the wall, and showed them.
"Her name is Yeo Na, and she'll be a fourth year when she gets back."
"Just like Woo Seok." She smiled at me but his eyes were glued to the photo. What a cutie. I just know that Yeo Na will like him. I left the picture on the table and poured us all a cup of tea.
"So you guys are right across the street or next door?"
"Next door, to your left." I nodded and took a bite of a cookie.
"Wow these are amazing."
"Woo Seok made them, he's great at baking, but not so much cooking." His cheeks turned bright red, and I held back a giggle.
"My Yeo Na can't bake to save her life, she'll make it too sweet or not enough, and everything usually ends up a little burnt, but she can really cook. I don't know where she gets it from though because I can't cook." We all laughed a little, and ever so often Woo Seok's eyes went back to the picture.
"Woo Seok?" He jumped a little, and I could tell he thought I caught him, but he wasn't that slick so there was no getting caught really.
"How about you come to the airport with me in two days to meet Yeo Na? She's with two of her friends also, so you can meet a few people before school." He looked at his mother for approval and she nodded, putting a smile on his cute face.
"That would be great, thank you." I nodded, and we just made aimless conversation for a while. Yeo Na was going to have a heart attack, this boy was like a giant and she was not the tallest person in the world, cause that was Woo Seok, but she would definitely be looking up a lot.
