We ate in the living room, so the awkward silence would have no place in the house, and I heard the door bell. I got it just so I wouldn't have to sit and not watch the movie that was on. I opened the door and looked up to see a guy with a plate of brownies. His eyes got wide and he started stumbling over words. What was with him?
"Seokie!" My mom ran past me and gave the guy a big hug, then grabbed the plate of brownies. The boys came up behind me shortly after and now we were all just kind of looking up at "Seokie".
"This is our new neighbor Wooseok, and this is Yeo Na." He bowed and my mom let him in.
"Kino, Yuto if you haven't eaten everything why don't you go eat with him." They nodded and my mom pulled me into the kitchen.
"What do you think?" I looked at her weird.
"Of the guy? Or the fact that he brought brownies?" I took the clear wrap off of them, and broke it up into fourths before eating it. It was actually really good. I wish I could bake.
"Both I guess. He's been asking about you, and he even volunteered to help you with classes since he's in your core ones." Does he know everything about me? I just figured out his name!
"I don't wanna make anymore friends if it means having to forget who they are constantly." I dropped the brownie in my hand, and went into the living room. I turned the corner and this tree of a guy bumped into me. I jumped back falling on my butt and he hurried to help me.
"Are you okay?" I took my hand back and he looked at me kind of funny. No not again! Yuto got me, and the guy was just beyond confused. Poor guy.
"This is Wooseok Yeo Na, he's your new neighbor. He didn't mean to scare you right Seok?" He opened his mouth but Kino elbowed him before he could say anything. He looked at me and just shook his head.
"Jung Wooseok, nice to meet you." He bowed, and I pulled away from Yuto.
"Hi, sorry I just didn't expect to see you there." He nodded a little and Kino moved all of us to the living room. Kino and Yuto ceaned up and left Wooseok and I to talk.
"Are you okay enough to get back to school yet?" I nodded, and he grabbed his backpack with a small smile.
"I'm in all 3 of your core classes, so I picked up your work, and copied notes for you." He handed me 3 different colored folders, and I looked at him waiting for him to do something else, but I think that was it.
"Oh uh, this one is AP History, this one in AP Lit, and this is Pre-Calc. The notes are in the left pockets and the work in the right. If you have any questions, I put my number on each of the folders." I smiled a little bit, and looked through all of it. It was really sweet of him to do all this. I shut the folders and sighed.
"Has anyone told you much more than I hurt my head?" He shook his head, and I took a deep breath trying to remember everything, and failing terribly.
"One second." I handed him the folders and walked into the kitchen. I grabbed a writing pad from one of the kitchen drawers along with a pen and wrote down his name first, then new neighbor next to that.
"What did the doctor say?" I handed my mom the pen and pad, and she scribbled away. I thanked her and she kissed the tops of my hands. I went back into the living room and sat down next to him.
"I hit my head hard in a weird way, but still pretty bad. I'm healing like I'm supposed to, but the catch is memory loss. It's not long or short term, I jut forget whatever my brain doesn't keep I guess,"
"That's why you were afraid of me earlier?" I nodded, and he grabbed my hand.
"I bet you'll be okay, I can help to." I smiled at him. He was sweet, a little bold for the hand thing but sweet. He just wanted to help and I would be a terrible person to not let him, plus he was cute. We heard someone clear their throat behind me and Yuto was just staring at us. He quickly let go of my hand and somehow managed to make himself look small in his own little square of the couch. I rolled my eyes and shooed him out.
