Hermione looked up to see Malfoy looking at her expectantly. She nervously bit her lip.

'I kind of told him I was your wife and apologized for your behavior,' she told him. A look of horror appeared on Malfoy's face.

'You told him what?'

'Well, couldn't just randomly show up, could I? And I told him you were behaving so odd because you had a fever for a couple of days, so at least he doesn't think you're crazy now,' she rambled.

Malfoy shook his head.

'Don't you understand what this means? No doubt he will tell everyone about your conversation, and they will all think that you are my wife now,' he said, looking horrified.

'Yes Malfoy,' Hermione snapped. 'I get that they will think I'm your wife, since I was the one who told Ismay.'

'No, you don't understand,' Malfoy said frustrated. 'They will expect us to be together now, for the rest of the journey.'

A look of understanding appeared on Hermione's face.

'Right... well, we'll worry about that later,' Hermione said, remembering the rest of the conversation. 'Because he still wants the ship to go full speed, and he left the room because he had an appointment. What if he is meeting the captain now?'

He took a long drink from his glass and glared at her.

'So, you didn't stop him from going to the captain, and on top of that, you only made this situation worse by telling him that we're married.'

'At least I did something!' Hermione argued, throwing her hands up in the air. Malfoy sighed and rubbed his head.

'If he's with the captain now, we don't stand a chance.'

'Yes, we do. Maybe he's not with the captain right now and if he was, we can still try to convince the captain not to pick up speed,' she said, trying to stay positive.

Something else came to Hermione's mind. Something she had been trying to push away since she had woken up on this dreadful ship. The fact that they might not get back to the future. She had been trying to focus on surviving this journey first, but now that everything seemed to be going wrong, it was harder to push the thought away. Shaking her head, she decided they had to keep trying.

'We could go find out if Ismay is talking to the captain,' she said. Malfoy sighed and nodded.

They both stood up and made their way out of the dining area.

'The deck is that way,' Malfoy pointed to the right. There is the staircase, which leads to the first class cabins. To the left, there is the smoking room and some other rooms I haven't been to.' Hermione nodded.

'I think we should try the first class deck,' she said, hoping that they could catch a glimpse of Ismay there.

They made their way to the deck, nodding politely at the passing passengers. When they got on the deck, she squinted her eyes at the sun. It was a bright, sunny day, but it was still a bit cold outside. The walked around, looking at the passengers, but Ismay wasn't there. Malfoy stopped walking and leaned against the rail.

'It doesn't seem like he's out here,' he said looking frustrated with the whole situation. Hermione shook her head.

'I guess we'll have to wait until lunch...' an uncomfortable silence fell between them, neither of them knowing what to say.

Hermione frowned.

'What if we can't get back? To the future, I mean.'

Draco frowned.

'I don't know. I suppose we'll have to find a way after all of this,' he gestured around the deck. Hermione nodded.

'It's just so weird, though. We don't remember how we got here and we both have our own cabins and such... it just doesn't make sense.'

Draco nodded and they both fell silent again, looking out at the sea.

They were both pulled out from their thoughts again when luncheon was announced.

'Let's hope Ismay is there,' Hermione said nervously.

'And that he hasn't spoken to the captain yet,' Malfoy added bitterly.
