Well Now There's Something!

Anna POV:

I wake up in Peter's arms. It feels wonderful. I've always dreamed of this happening. I don't want to leave, but I know I have to. I love him, but I don't know if he feels the same way.

I manage to climb out without disturbing him. I grab my purse and go into his bathroom so I can freshen up a little.

"Anna?" I hear Peter ask ten minutes later.

"Hey." I say as I walk out of the bathroom.

"Oh hey. How'd you sleep?"

Amazing. Only because I was with you of course.

"Good, how about you?"

"Amazing actually."

"Good! Hey, do you want me to make some coffee?"

"That would be amazing. Thank you!"

"No problem. I'll be in the kitchen."

Peter POV:

Anna is amazing. I love her. I just don't know how I'm going to tell her. Last night was amazing. I loved falling asleep with her next to me. I only hope that she feels the same way.

"Got anything?" Anna asks later as we're still trying to find something in this case.

"Absolutely nothing. You?"

"Nope. Hey, so, I wanted to talk to you about something."

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong. I was just um..."

This is it. Either she is going to confess her love, or she's going to tell me she's leaving town.

Anna POV:

I need to tell Peter. I need to tell him that I love him.

"Anna, what's wrong?"

"I... I love you!" I say but I immediately put my hands over my mouth.

He looks shocked. But then he looks happy. Thrilled to be exact.

"Oh Anna! I... I do to! Would you maybe like to go grab dinner?"

"I'd absolutely love to."

Finally. I know how he feels. And I couldn't be happier. I just hope that I don't disappoint him.

"Thank you for agreeing to dinner. I really love it when we hang out."

"I do to! I'm just glad that I didn't make a complete fool of myself."

"You could never make a fool of yourself. You're just to perfect."

This is why I love him. Everything I've imagined is coming true tonight. Even if we haven't solved the case, or made any progress in it it's still been the best day ever. I will never stop loving him, and I hope he knows that.

I just hope that we can solve this case... And soon. I don't know if I can survive another sleepless night. Even if it's with Peter.
