The weekend went by fast.

Most of Sunday was a blur; I unpacked, Skyped with Adrian and went into town for dinner with my family.

The only thing that kept tugging at my mind was Denali.

I'd had a good time with her on Saturday, but when she kissed me, everything got confusing.

Maybe I was thinking to much about it. Maybe it was a friendly kiss? Maybe it didn't mean anything to her? Maybe it was some weird thing werewolves did? Whatever the reason, she sure did a good job of jumbling my thoughts, as if I already didn't have a lot on my mind.

Now it was Monday and I was being forced to go to school even though I tried to convince my mother that I was suffering from a crippling disease. All she said was that I should stop self diagnosing. Real nice.

I sipped my coffee passive aggressively as I sat at the kitchen table. All my mom did was scoff at me as she handed me a plate of burnt toast. Monday's sucked.

"Excited to see your friend's at school today?" Sage innocently asked me.

I shrugged, once again reminded about my current dilemma. "I guess."

"How come you don't want to go to school today?" My aunt Lila asked, taking a bite out of a sprinkle doughnut.

"No reason other than it's Monday and I'm currently not feeling in the educational mood." I mumbled, taking another sip of coffee.

"Well then, that's not much of a reason."

I silently mocked my aunt in my head, chugging the rest of my caffeine and excusing myself from the table, storming upstairs.

I stared at the front doors of the school, letting out a breath and accepting my fate.

I walked inside, heading to my locker. I spotted Scarlet and Rose at their lockers, deciding to go over.

"Uh, hey guys." I yawned, standing beside them.

Rose looked at me like I had two heads and Scarlet just looked down on me.

I raised an eyebrow, shrugging. "Did I say something?"

"We heard what you did." Rose spoke up, crossing her arms over her chest.

I must've still looked lost because Scarlet let out a sigh. "Look, I know you're still new, but I was specific with the rules. No romance with any of the werewolves. Simple." She slammed her locker door shut, her green eyes burning into me.

I had to keep from rolling my eyes. "It's a misunderstanding. I just ran into Denali by chance and we hung out for a bit. She kissed me, not the other way around, if that's what you're getting at here."

Rose scoffed, but Scarlet looked understanding. "I get it, they're all pretty hot. Just don't let it happen again, 'kay?" She shrugged, her entire tone changing. It seemed a bit fake, but I just went with it.

"You got it." I replied, walking down the hall with them.

"What's your first class?" Scarlet asked, glancing back at me for a moment.

"English." I replied, for a moment not sure if she was talking to me.

"That sucks," She commented. "Want to skip with us?" She smirked back at me.

I don't think I'd ever actually skipped a class before. Back at my old school, if you weren't there for the first class and you hadn't given a reason, they'd hunt you down, call you parents, or send out a search party. Here, I guess it didn't matter much since the town was so small. Everyone knew where you were, when you were there and where you going next, so there wasn't as much stress.
