The Only Reason || Calum Hood

Chapter 1

"Aleah! Stop it," My friend Beth whines at me as I splash her whole face with water.

"Nope." I say and smrik as she pushes her hair out of her eyes.

"You're being mean to my girlfriend." I hear someone say and Michael attacks my waist and I burst out in a fit of laughter. I hate being ticklish.

"No, stop it Mikey! Ple-" I get cut of as he quickly dunks me under the water. I gasp as I reach the surface.

"Oh, it's on!" I almost shout and succeed at dunking him under the water for about two seconds and he then pops back up to the surface.

"You really wanna play this game?" He asks, and before I can say anything, he lifts me up over his shoulder.

"Put me down Michael! Nice ass Calum." I shout and I hear Michael chuckle from beneath me. I hear Ashtons girlfriend, Stella laugh her head of as I say it.

"I know I have a nice ass," Calum says as he jumps into the water. He looks up at me, "Do you need some help?" He asks and laughs. I hear Michael laugh from beneath me.

"I can do it thanks." I say and start to worm wiggle out of his grip. I fall face forward on the water. I gasp for breath as I reach the surface for the millionth time that day.

"Done." I say and laugh as they just look at me.

"Are you ok Aleah?" I hear Ashton shout over to me, a huge smirk on his face, as well as Luke next to him.

"Yep." I say and climb out with Calum.

"Who wants a movie night?" Ashton asks as we all gather at out table, occupied with bags and other stuff.

"Im in!" I pipe up and everyone agrees.

"Fuck yea!" Ashton says as we grab all of bags and walk into our separate changing rooms.

"Calum likes you." Beth says from beside me.

"As if. Im just...me." I say and we place our bags down.

"He was checking you out when he was sitting down next to Luke. Me and Ash we're talking about it." Stella says, a guilty look on her face, her blue eyes full of humor.

"Yea...sure." I say and quickly get changed. We walk out to meet the boys, goofing around, having crab races.

"What are you guys doing?" Beth asks as we reach them.

"Crab races." Ashton answers and grabs hold of Stellla's hand.

"Fuckig weirdos." She says as they both walk of towards Ashtons car.

"My mum is bringing the van if you guys want a lift to Ashton's." Luke says and we all nod.

"Lets go!" Liz says, appearing in the door way about five minutes later. We all follow each other out of the pools and to her car.

"Dibs front." Luke says and opens the door to get in.

"I'll go in the back." I say and get in once Liz has opened the sliding door. Calum climbs through and sits next to me.

'Hi Calum." I say, trying to imitate Mr Bean.

"Hai." He replies, tying to copy me but failing. I laugh as Michael and Beth climb into the seats in front of us.

The car is quiet for about five minutes until Luke fangirls.

"OH MY GOD, I LOVE THIS SONG!" Luke just about screams from the front of the car as Where Did The Party Go by Fall out Boy comes on the radio.

"Na na na na na! Na na na na na!" We sing along badly, probably giving Liz a headache.

"Im here to collect your heart! It's the only reason that I sing!" We sing in chorus and I just end up laughing with Beth. The singing dies down as everyone starts their own small conversations.

Luke talking to Liz about some girl called Rachel. He never stops talking about her at the moment.

And Michael and Beth talking about some PS4 game.

"How was your day?" Calum asks, a crooked grin on his face.

"It was fine thanks Cal. What about you?"

"Well, it was fine thanks. You know, just the usual, checking Mikeys ass out."

"No way. I was totally checking out your ass out too. Its so round and...plump." Michael says, popping the 'p'. Me and Beth burst out in laughter, gaining a raise of the eyebrow from Liz.

"My boyfriend checking out another guy. Wow, my life is great thanks." Beth says sarcastically.

"Aw no babe. You know I was kidding." He says, worried.

"You know I was just kidding too?" She says and they both just laugh at each other.

"Weirdos." Calum says from beside me.

"Don't be mean! It's cute." I say and push his shoulder gently.

"Ow! Luke, Aleah hit me!" Calum whines jokingly.

"Hit him harder." Luke answers, looking at me from the window mirror.

"Thanks Lukey." Calum says and almost everyone in the car laughs, joining into the conversation.

"We're here!" Liz says from the front and we all pile out of the car and walk up to Ashtons front door. Luke says goodbye to his mum and walks up to us. He knocks on the door.

"We're here Ash!" He says and Stella quickly answers the door.

"Hey guys!" She says and we walk into the living room, currently looking like a small movie theater. Ashton walks into the room, wearing a turtle mask.

"WHO'S READY FOR A MOVIE NIGHT?" He just about screams.
