Chapter 8

A week later, Calum had asked me out, and life was perfect.

I didn't know things could be this great. I'm the happiest I've been for years. I feel like a kid on Christmas day every time I see him.

"Its really nice up here Cal." I say as we look out over the whole of Sydney.

"Yea, it is. I used to always come up here when I needed to clear my head. I wrote Beside You here." He explains and I smile.

"Cute." I simply say and plop a grape into my mouth. He had set up a picnic date looking over Sydney. And it was the sweetest thing anyone has done for me.

Well...maybe after Calum dressing up as a prince to ask me out.

"Lets play a game." He says and I raise an eyebrow.

"And what game is that?"

"Guess the song!"

"You're such a kid Hood."

"Am not! Bully!" He playfully whines.

"Are too. And I'll start." I get my phone out and play Chocolate by the 1975.

"Oh! I know this one!" He thinks for a while, furrowing his eyebrows. "Chocolate by The 1975."

"Correct!"

"Knew it!"

"My turn." He takes his phone out and starts to play a song.

"Someday by Nickelback?" I ask and he grins at me.

"Yep!"

"My turn." I start to play Lithium by Nirvana.

"I like your taste in music, Lithium by Nirvana."

"We practically have the same taste in music Cal." He just giggles like a girl.

"Ok..." He plays another song. It sounds like....wait.

"She Looks so Perfect?" He nods. "Why are you playing me this song?"

"It was written for you." My mouth hangs open.

"No way." My gaping mouth turns into a large smile.

"Yea. And can I tell you something?" I nod in response.

"Of course Cal."

"I love you." Best.day.ever.

"I love you too." And we kiss, making the moment perfect.

Two weeks later

"ALEAH!" He screams happily as I enter his house.

"Hi Calum." I laugh and kiss him on the cheek as he embraces me in a warm hug.

"Want anything?" He asks, taking out a packet or oreos.

"Do you have any iced-tea?"

"We're the only ones who drink it." He winks and I roll my eyes.

"You're so funny Calum."

"I know I am." He says and I just raise my eyebrow. "So what ya wanna do?"

"Watch movies and pig out on junk food?"

"I also need to tell you something."

"Good or bad?"

"...both."

"Oh, spill it out then Hood." He then takes a deep breath.

"We've been asked to tour with One Direction again."

"That's great Cal!" He frowns.

"Its six months." My smile disappears.

"Oh...that's a long time." He walks over to me and hugs me.

"Hey, we'll skype everyday and I'll text you goodmorning and goodnight everyday."

"It won't be the same Cal. And what if you find-" I stop there, choking on my words.

"Find what?" He asks, confused.

"Find someone else?" I practically whisper.

"God Aleah, no. No, no, no. You're mine and I've been waiting for you to be mine for so long. I don't want anyone but you." He says, making smile slightly, but still not convinced.

"Promise?"

"Promise." He says and we seal the deal with a kiss.
