James x Jaiden - A tale of two hearts

The beginning

Jaiden's POV

(They are telling this to their friend groups at that same time in different places btw)

It all started when I was finishing the final touches on my latest animation. I was super self-conscious because it had my face in it, and I had never had my face in one of my videos before. I tweeted about it and of course, my fans went crazy.

I scrolled through all the Twitter replies. I was supposed to upload the video hours ago, but I kept on second guessing myself and re-watching it, over and over again.

Ari was squeaking obnoxiously, like normal. I was usually used to it, but this time it gave me a MASSIVE headache. 

"What If I'm not good enough for them, what they expected? What if I'll never be good enough?"

I was rubbing my temples, trying to get my thoughts out of my head. I unpaused the video and watched it for the 15th time today before my phone buzzed. My screen illuminated, reading:

You have one new message:
James: Wanna go out and eat? I'm bored :P

I smiled when James' name popped up on my screen. He always helped me when I was feeling stressed, sad or even just bored. I bit my lip and pondered the question for a bit before deciding that I needed a break. I promised myself I would post it right when I came back. I didn't know what that had started, or what it meant at the time. All I knew was that I was hungry and stressed about the video. I didn't that it led to more.

James' POV
I remember that I was in my animating corner, drawing the arms on my bubble character, when Tim knocked on my door. I went to door and opened it to see Tim, dressed in a black suit and velvety tie.

"I'm gonna go take Spechie* somewhere special, you have the house for yourself just incase you and Jaiden want to do .....something?"

"I told you, me and Jaiden are just friends." I replied, slightly annoyed at the repetition of these questions.

 Hell, even our own parents thought we were dating for a while. We had known each other for a little more year and ever since Tim moved in, these questions kept on coming and coming.

"I'll be back around 11 just in case......ya know."Tim smirked. "Also, don't forget, my birthday is next week so buy me something while I'm gone." 

"I won't. Goodbye." I said, shutting the door in front of him 

"Maybe I should ask Jaiden if she wants to go out to eat. I mean, we're not in a relationship or anything. Just two best pals getting some dinner." I thought. 

I texted Jaiden if she wanted to go eat.

James: Wanna go out and eat? I'm bored :P

Jaiden: Sure! Pick me up around 7 ya doofus

I smiled at the way she said doofus. Maybe I was in love with her. Maybe I wasn't. I didn't really know at the time. All I wanted to do is to get something to eat with a friend. I didn't know the consquences that came with it.
