James x Jaiden - A tale of two hearts

Jaiden's POV

I was in my closet figuring out to wear when suddenly I heard two honks outside my apartment. I checked my watch. It was 7:03. 

"Shit." I mumbled. I grabbed my purse and my phone headed out the door in some blue jeans and a sweatshirt. I went down the stairwell to see James sitting in his Honda. It looks just like mine except his was grey. I went to the other side and opened the passenger door.

"Hey" James said.

"Hey doofus" I replied, smirking.

"Where do you wanna go? Your pick."

"Ummmmmm I don't know. Maybe In-and-out?" I said, trying to keep my voice low.

"Whatever you want, my little princess."

I blushed hard when he said that. James must have  noticed because he turned up the radio and belted out the lyrics to 24k Magic by Bruno Mars as a distraction. I watched in awe and teased him for his "talent".

We arrived at In-and-out and we ordered two burgers, one veggie and one regular. We got our food and exited the drive thru. James drove into the parking lot and turned of the car.

"So," He said, cutting the silence. 

"Soo..." 

James then turned to me and says:

"Why are Llamas so funny looking?" 

I chuckled and sighed.

"Aren't birds more funny looking?"

We talked and laughed and debated over which animal is the most funny looking, Llamas or Birds? Around 1 am, James drove me back to my place and I crashed on my couch, totally forgetting about the animation.

James' POV

I drove over from my apartment to hers, waiting near the front entrance

"Stop thinking these thoughts. It's not normal. You are just friends. Nothing more, nothing less."  I thought.

She opened the door and I said,

 "Hey."

"Hey doofus." 

I felt my heart pound after she said that. I quietly scolded myself and asked where did she want to eat.
"Ummmmmmm I don't know. Maybe In-and-out?"

"Whatever you want, my little princess." I bowed

"Wow James, wow...." my conscious snarled.

 I ignored it and saw Jaiden blush, causing me to blush. I turned up the music to distract her and started screeching the lyrics to 24k Magic. Jaiden laughed and applauded my musical skills. I silently bowed and continued on singing, pushing Jaiden to join in.

We arrived around 8:00 because of the traffic. Jaiden's phone kept repetitively buzzing but I chose to ignore it and continued on our convo. Finally, I asked, 

"What's going on with your phone?"

"Oh nothing, I haven't posed my new video yet and they're kinda getting antsy."

"Oh ok." I said. 

I parked the car in the parking lot. We talked and laughed until it was midnight. The streetlights glowed in the distance as we sat there, just talking. Soon enough, it became silent and I reminded Jaiden that she needed to upload her video.

"Oh yeah. Right." her voice became dull and quiet. I kinda got the feeling that she didn't want to leave but I thought I was making it up. 

We headed home and I dropped her off. The drive back to my place was surprisingly quick. I ran up the stair because the elevator was broken and I wanted to get in shape before the end of September. I went up to the apartment and flicked on the lights to find Tim sitting on the couch in an evil position.

"Well, well, well. Look who we have here. James Rallison, coming home at what time again?"

"1:15" I replied, annoyed and tired.

"1:15 you say? Why would James be coming home so late this time? Was he possibly with a girl? Perhaps, Jaiden?"

"I went out with Jaiden to get an In-and-out burger. Nothing more."  I resisted the urge to smile for some reason. 

"Whatever you say..." Tim smirked and walked away.

I headed towards my room, closed my door and flopped on my bed like they do in the movies. It hurt a little, but it was still satisfying. I checked my phone to see Jaiden feed spammed with obnoxious comments saying things like 

"Where's your new video!???"

"JAIDEN U PROMISEED WHYY!!!!!!"
@halilub247 commented "REVOLT EVERYONE! REVOLT"

I had enough of the tweets so I replied?

"Guys chill, @jaidenanimations was with me. "

I hoped it was enough to stall the fans. I shut down my phone, not knowing that it would be the the start of a petition, a petition that would spark our relationship. I slowly drifted off to sleep, too caught up in my dreams to focus on what I had just done.
