Jaiden's POV
It was around time when I was supposed to leave. Me, being me, was still choosing what I should wear. After all, I had just realized I liked James so I wanted to a little impressing of my own. At the time, I didn't know he liked me so I thought it would be harder then expected. I decided to wear a short sleeved, boat necked, red velvety dress that my grandmother gave me for my cousin's wedding. That was also the day she said,
"Why is your baby cousin getting married before you? You should get your life together!"
Although she was a little tipsy then and probably didn't remember it, it stuck with me and encouraged me to get out there. That's when I met James. We met at an animator's party around early 2016. Tony and I had been friends for a couple of months and he was also friends with this big animator called "TheOdd1sout". He was apparently known on Tumblr for his comics but also known to have a big increase of subscribers on YouTube. I thought of him as a friend at first, but turned out to be so much more. I put on the dress looked myself in the mirror.
"You don't deserve James, you're a worthless piece of trash."
"Only pretty girls can pull off dresses like that."
Thoughts from a year ago started forming into my mind, but I didn't think much of it. I knew I was stronger then that. That these thoughts weren't my own. I applied my rosy red lipstick and pink blush before I headed out the door to see Jax, starting up the car. He rolled down the window.
"Are you ready?"
I took a deep breath and smoothened my dress.
"Yes."

James' POV
My heart was beating so fast. I still couldn't decide what to wear yet the party already started. It was 9:17 and I decided on a nice, grey, plain, T-shirt with sleeves that fit me perfectly to make my muscles pop. I looked in the mirror and shrugged. It was better then the Pokémon shirt I wore for a week. I put on some black pants and opened my door to leave my room until Tim came in.
"Heyyyyyyyy!"
I could tell he was a little tipsy because smelled and acted like he just had shots of tequila. He looked me up and down and then said,
"Wait, are you going out like that?"
His slurred voice reminded me of the time when he first got with Spechie. That must of been hard considering he is, and still is a playboy."Yes, why? Is there something wrong?" I replied, my voice shaking distinctly.
"Oh nothing...it's just, no cologne man? Really? How are you going to get with Jaiden like this?"
I sighed and said,
"Look Tim, I'm not gonna get with Jaiden. And stop stressing about me and Jaiden. We're fine. It's you birthday! You're 24! Live it while you can. Go back out there and enjoy your party while it lasts. I'll be out in a sec." I smiled, reassuring Tim.
Maybe this party could get my mind off Jaiden. But then again, maybe not.
"Ok..whatevves mannnnnnn....." his voice trailed off as he left the room.
"Wow. He must already be drunk." I thought to myself.
Without thinking, I walked into the bathroom, took Tim's bottle, and sprayed it all over my body. Not too much to overuse the cologne, but enough to make myself smell like I was decent person.
"Just one day, I can do this" I mumbled, actually believing it for a moment.
I opened the door and walked into the party.
This was going be good.
