7: The Warmth That I Feel

It's barley my third week here and guess what..? I'm up against Genji today. I get nervous as my team (D.va, Tracer, Mccree, Reaper, Sombra, Reinhardt, and Hanzo) sits around, waiting for Athene to say something. I start to hear multiple footsteps.

"Ssshhh!" I shush them and listen as everyone quiets down, "Let's go!"

We silently get over to the exit of the lobby and wait. Once the doors open, Soldier 76 walks out with someone trailing next to him. She had a eye patch, white hair, a sniper riffle, blue cloak, and an old Overwatch uniform (blue and black).

"ANA AMARI!" I hear everyone yell as they rush towards her and hug her.

"Heheh, calm down youngsters..and Reinhardt." she says as she looks up at him, "Nice to see you all again."

"WE MISSED YOU!" I hear Tracer and D.va yell.

I notice Reaper, Hanzo, and Sombra standing by me.

"Good to have you with us Ana." Hanzo says with a slight smile.

I look at him in shock, What the hell? He never smiles...Except when I make a joke about life.... I felt myself grow jealous but soon calmed a bit down when the old man said..

"Alright, listen up maggots! Ana will be joining you today to test out how you've all done since she's only worked with you 7. (Y/n)." he turns to me.

"Ana will be helping me with your ultimate so she will be here for the rest of the week, watching how you use your ult on Friday."

I nod. "Yes sir."

Why does he keep switching dates for my ultimate test..? I think as everyone welcomes Ana to the team. She comes up to me and smiles.

"I hope you've had a great time here so far." she holds out her hand. I take it and shake her hand.

"Always." I reply as I hear Athene say..

Defend the payload in 10 minutes.

I let go and walk over to the match door as it opens and walk in. I sit on a chair and wait for the countdown.

A few minutes later, I feel my chest start to burn where my heart is. I start feeling my heart hurt and speed up. I gasp and get on my knees on the floor, leaving one hand to keep me up and my other on my heart. People rush to my side and help me up.

I cough, "Th-Thanks guys..."

"No problem darlin' but what happened..?!" Jesse asks as he helps me sit in the chair, "Do we need to cancel the match?"

I shake my head and cough again, "N-No...it was just a little pain...that's all."

"Sorry but when someone falls to the floor gasping for breath, it doesn't look like it." Reaper says as he crosses his arms.

Ana gets on one knee and places her hand on my leg, "Are you sure (Y/n)?"

"Yes...I'm positive." I respond, getting up and walking over to the door to the payload.

Jesse sticks by my side, "Ok hun...but I'm staying by your side to make sure nothing goes wrong."

I sigh, "Fine...just don't put yourself in harms way.."

20 seconds

Inhale and exhale a lot of air and let myself focus on the match instead of the pain I feel. I look over at everyone and think of a healing strategy.
