5: Protection

~A week later~

It's been a whole week since I got here and it seems to have went well...now I get to meet a few more heroes since we switched teams this week. From what I've heard, my team has a girl named D.va, Bastion, Mccree, Zenyatta, Sombra, Roadhog, Reaper, and Genji. I'm excited to work with all of them, mostly Genji though since me and him have been hanging more often. I'm wondering if I can even keep up with him because of how fast he moves. But I'll never know until we practice!

I was walking around the door where this time we try to not let the payload onto it's final destination point so, it's a little new for me but, I'm sure I'll make it through this. When I first got into the lobby, Genji introduced me to everyone and one certain cowboy had a very pervy side for women with (h/c) hair. I kept walking around the door, making sure I had my healing stuff on from last time and remembering the meeting I had with Soldier 76. I've been in a bit of pain ever since I stopped using my ultimate but, I should be fine. I miss using my ultimate...I had a few perfect opportunities to use it but then the meeting replayed in my head so I was held back. Ugh...I know what I'm doing with my ult...why is he such a nosy ass--

~Genji's POV~ 

1 minute till you prevent the payload

We all start walking towards the door where (Y/n) was waiting at. I noticed her hands in tight fists and her eyes full of hatred, anger, pain, and sadness. I started walking towards her until Mccree got to her first.

"Hey, what's wrong lassie?" he asked, putting his hand on (Y/n)'s shoulder where I placed mine.

"...Soldier 76...." she replies tightening her fists more.

"Ah....I see...well, looks like you could use one of these!" Mccree said getting closer to her.

"Wha--" she was interrupted by him hugging her. (Y/n) looked shocked but hugged back slightly. That's when I heard her whisper, "Thank you Jesse...." "No problem darling...I don't like seeing people in a bundle of distress..."

Mccree....let go of her now... I thought as I stayed silent, Stop it...! Control yourself! Mccree lets go of her a few seconds later, "And don't worry about the game and your safety, we got your back!" he said as he patted her head.

Defend the payload!

~(Y/n)'s POV~

A few minutes into the game and we slowly started winning. We had 3 minutes and 45 seconds left. I noticed Genji had a critical above him so I went over to him to try and heal him but he ran towards an enemy and got them out.

Genji --> Widowmaker

"G-Genji! Wait up!" I yelled as he ran over to a building and climbed onto the roof where Torbjorn and Tracer were and got them.

Genji --> Torbjorn

Genji --> Tracer

I flew up to the roof and planted down 3 feet away from him, "Genji!"

Genji looked at me and stood still, "I am sorry (Y/n). I was just trying to take out the most vulnerable ones." he said as he bowed his head.

"It's alright...I Just need to be quicker..." I said as I healed him and sent out a spirit animal.
