Chapter 2:
I just finished getting though security and after waiting for like, and hour or so, I am waiting to board the plane. For some reason, there are a lot of girls surrounding my gate, but security is holding them back. Someone famous must be on this flight. Or someone closed the Starbucks. I laugh at my lame jokes and myself.
The over-peppy flight attendant scans my boarding pass, and I’m on my way. My mom said that she waited me to be extra safe, so luckily, I’m riding first class. From where I live to California, it takes about 15 hours to get there, so I don’t expect to be awake for most of this flight.
I start to put my one carryon in the over-head compartment when someone bumps into me. My bag falls on my head. The bastard kept walking down the aisle and didn’t ask if I was ok. Thank God it was only a purse. I rub my head, and bend down to pick up my bag. An middle aged women with blonde hair and bangs just keeps apologizing over and over, saying that her son and his friends bumped into me and she feels so bad, and shes very upset that they didn’t; help me blah blah blah. I keep trying to tell her its ok, but she refuses to listen. She gives me her card, so that way if I’m hurt, she says I can call her and she’ll pay for my medical expenses. I just laugh and thank her for her help.
I shove the card in my back pocket, put my earbuds in, and wait for takeoff.
*SIX HOURS INTO THE FLIGHT*
I just woke up from a six-hour nap. The lady next to me seems to be doing work on her laptop. Thankfully, I’m in the aisle seat, so there’s no one to my left. Wow. I really have to pee. I get up and start slowly walking back to the bathrooms. As I’m walking past, I notice the lady from earlier who gave me her card and was over sincere about her apologies. She is out cold, and snoring really loud. In the two seats next to her, there is a boy there; probably around my age or a little older, dressed like he is ready for Colorado, not California. He is asleep, and he is wearing a flannel, a winter hat, pants, and had one of those sleeping eye covers that girls wear when they need their “beauty sleep”. The other boy asleep is facing the window, so I can’t see him. Behind them are two other boys, close to their age, it seems.
I notice some people around me giving me weird looks because I’m staring at these people, so I hurry into the bathroom.
I ran back to my seat and waited for the attendants to come around with the drinks.
I order my drink, then drift off back to sleep.
