Tyler had been a boy for a week now.

Josh had came over every night, like usual and he had taught Tyler how to do a few things, he learned how to play football and how to answer his new name confidently.

"Tyler Joseph?" Josh called out, his voice more formal as he stood and held books.

Tyler giggled "here , sir" he said, confidently and happily. It felt right because it was josh, and josh always made situations feel right.

Tyler had asked josh to come over and talk about how his name had now changed legally and it would be on the register at school. So he was just slightly worried in what people would think. Josh had actually calmed any nerves and answered all of Tyler's questions. "No one will say anything because you're Tyler Joseph, an amazing boy"

Those very words were what made Tyler beam with the widest smile he had in so long. Being a boy was the best, Tyler felt comfortable.

However, there was just one more question. In that had been confusing Tyler oh so much. There were many genders, many pronouns. Tyler was confused and he needed Josh's help.

So as the two boys laid there, watching the glow-in-the-dark stars, stuck on Tyler's ceiling,  Tyler spoke up timidly.

"Josh?"

Josh hummed and turned his head to the side, his head on a white fluffy pillow, he could only see Tyler's side profile and how plump his lips were but josh tutted at himself. "Yes, Tyler?" He replied.

Tyler felt Josh's eyes on him, making him gulp.  "Am I girl? A boy? Them? He? She?" Panic simply flooded his once calm voice.

Josh just placed his hand oh Tyler's and intertwined their fingers, his were a lot more masculine, however. Tyler's were more skinny and bony yet so angelic, soft to the touch in many ways. "He" the male assured and turned his head back.

Tyler stayed silent and nodded "he" he smiled brightly and soon cuddled into josh.

They both laid under their small fort they had built that night and Tyler felt one step closer to being who he really was. A boy, which was all he wanted. Josh knew how to make him feel better about his real self.  So he allowed Josh's muscular arms to wrap around his small, skinny body and hold him close.

That night, both of the boys fell asleep in complete silence, ready for school the next morning. The warmth flooding both their bodies.

Josh really liked Tyler, a lot more than Sarah.
