The police had taken Evie to St Marina Children's home, where she was before Brendon adopted her. She was glad she was safe again.
She walked down the corrider and bumped into Sister Mary. Evie ran up to her and gave her a hug and cried.
"It's ok Evie. Your safe now. I'm here to look after you alright?" Sister Mary said kindly to Evie. She was Evie's favourite at the home.
"I wish Sister Abigail didn't send me to Brendon. I just thought he was a great man to talk to and be with. I guess was wrong." Evie explained sadly.
"It's a shame that Sister Abigail is dead. But now there's a new head of the children's home called Sister Julie. Why don't you go and meet her in her office?" Asked Sister Mary.
"Ok. I will" Evie was excited to meet the new head.
When Evie was at Sister Julie's office, the door was open. She was talking to Harry, Evie's enemy. But next to Harry was a man. He had brown hair, all brushed back. He wore a black suit with shiny black shoes. He had a scar from his fore head, down to his cheek. It looked like the scar where Evie had hit Brendon with the coca cola bottle. He turned round and looked at Evie. The man said:
"Hello Evie. Nice to see you again." Evie recognised his voice. She hated it. Although she liked the accent, she hated the man. She knew exactly who it was and she didn't want to go near him or say his name.
