After the whole crush event. Sophie seemed to treat it like a joke, a trick my friends had played to humiliate me. I felt relieved to know that. But now we started to share more and more lessons. Sophie famously said to me that we spent 23 hours together in lessons every 2 weeks, which if you think about school being 6 hour days is a lot of time. Despite us speaking so often I never spoke to her outside of school. Other people are good with social media but me? Never. I was terrible and barely knew about what people were doing outside of school. But one of my friends convinced me to get an app. It was called "Oovoo" I have no idea why but that's what it was called. Oovoo was your generic messaging app at the time but it had cool features like games. My friend did me the "courtesy" of creating a group with me, him and Sophie in and no one else while trying to make it seem like a perfectly normal thing to do, much to my embarrassment. But I used it to play it off as a joke and ditched the group for just messaging Sophie. It at least got me speaking outside of school. Our conversations started as random back and forth things but then we started playing games and suddenly everything changed. We started playing games and talking almost every day and I loved it. I finally felt a real connection to someone, I finally felt important to someone. It was a Bridge that connected me to a whole new world. And I loved it.
