Savanna woke up to her alarm, in a wonderful mood. She got ready—ate, brushed her teeth, did her hair, got dressed—and practically ran to school, due to her excitement for her first day of dance.
First period... over.
Second period... over.
Third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and finally eighth period... all over.
Savanna and Rosa were the only people, other than Riley Thompson, in their class who made it into the dance company. They ran to the locker room to change and then they walked down to the studio. "Hello Middleton High Dance Company, we would like to introduce you to each other, but first we would like to announce to you this year's captain—highest skilled member and leader of the group—of the dance company." the dance instructor said. That would never be me, Savanna thought, never in a million years. "Congratulations..." Come on just tell us, Savanna thought to herself. "Savanna Waters!! You are the 2017-2018 Middleton High School's dance captain."
