Nightshine awoke to a commotion filled camp. Cats were all crowed around the medicine den, and he could clearly hear Raven yelling at them. "Space! I need space!" she was yowling. He groaned to himself before dragging himself out of his nest. He yawned as he padded over to Sky. He was happy that she was calmer than she was last suncycle.

"Have Leaf and Amber be found?"

"Yes. Luckily." The tension between her muscles had eased. "You'll be leader now," she reminded him gently, nuzzling his ear.

"Oh yeah," he sighed. Nightshine knew that the whole reason he was leader was because he killed Silver. He forced his fur to lay flat as he pushed through the assembled cats. He saw Raven and Blackpaw clearly, they were blocking the enterace.

"Hello, Nightshine," Raven mewed coolly. "Do you want to discuss your leadership position?"

"Yes," Nightshine replied, nodding slightly. The black she-cat turned to say some words to her Learner before beckoning with her tail. He followed her as they left camp and went to a private area in the forest.

"Do you want to keep your normal name or change it?" she inquired as soon as they got there.

"Umm," he paused to consider it. "Change," Nightshine answered after a little bit of a wait.

"What to?"

"Night." He spoke within an instant of hearing the question. Raven nodded, but then a thoughtful look crossed her face.

"I wonder..." she began. The night pelted tom felt himself becoming uncomfortable, he shuffled his paws as he waited for the killing blow. "I wonder, who do you think killed Silver. It was definitely a murder." Nightshine breathed out in relief, but quickly covered it with a question.

"How'd you know it was a murder?"

"The claw marks on her neck. Somecat had killed her. The question is, who?"

"Hmm. Maybe we should think about her kits?" he suggested.

"Yes, that's a good idea. But maybe back at camp. Meet me at moonhigh in the centre of camp, we'll perform your ceremony then." Nightshine nodded. "For now you'll stay Nightshine," Raven added before leaving. He watched as she padded back to camp. He sighed and shifted his paws before heading toward the Thunderpath. He noted that his brother was still in the same position. He paused as he noticed the cat had a different eye colour and slightly longer fur.

"Ugh! How'd that tree-brained cat get away!" Nightshine growled in annoyance. He kicked the other cat and muttered,

"I'll get him yet. Just he wait..."
