Sonic POV
"It's so boring here...I want to see Shadow....AGHHH!" I grab my sketch pad and draw something. I hear a knock or someone throw a rock in my window, I swim infront of the window and opens it. I saw a piece of paper.
Dear Sonic,
Hey Sonic, It's Shadow. I saw a friend of yours and ask her to deliever this paper to you. Anyway, how are you? I kinda miss you though.. I wish the grounding thing will stop and hang out with me again. Oh, the girl's name is Maria. Thanks Sonic! Hope you'll reply soon!

I blinked and read it again. Maria? I shook my head and grab a piece of paper and writes. I swim infront of the window again and called a guard. The guard came, "Yes Prince?" I handed him the paper, "Give this to Prince Shadow." He grabs it, "Who is Prince Shadow?" "He lives in the surface, his my friend. You can find him sitting in the sand at this time. His a black hedgehog with red stripes and ruby eyes." The guard nodded and call some guard to take over his place for an hour. I closed my windows and swims to my bed, lays down. "Maria? But she is gone.." I thought as I roll around my bed, bored.
Shadow POV
I was sitting in the sand, I'm so bored without him. I sigh as I wait until it's nighttime. Soon I saw a merhog, he looks like a guard. He sees me and swim towards me, soon he is infront of me and give me a paper. "From Prince Sonic." He looks away and swim back to their own kingdom. "A letter? Heh, that was fast." I open the paper which is folded, I read it.
Dear Shadow,
Hey Shads, thanks for worrying about me, I miss you too! The grounding will stop soon and we can hang out again! Oh, about the girl name Maria.. she is actually gone. She died 2 years ago from a cancer. I'm confuse when you say she was there with you. She is gone.. and I miss her, probably you saw someone else. Just saying that she is gone. Thanks Shads for writing me a letter.

My eyes widen, "She is dead!? B-but who is the one I met earlier!?" I shook my head as I was back in realty and looks at the closing of the letter and smiled. Your best friend, Sonic. I chuckle.
