Hi, just wanted to let you know that I don't know too much about Aftertale so this chapter will be very non-canon.

Aftertale

Geno sighed in place, mind a blank world.

There wasn't all that much to do in his universe, and normally he was okay with that.
Now, however, it left him fidgety and yearning for any sign of activity.
He opened up a seal in the air, a visual portal brimming into existence.

"show me... underswap." He decided.

The vision brightened and a view of underswap's snowdin arose.
Snow was falling and people were doing their everyday business.
He could see the bright blue and orange of his universe's counterparts, and decided to just watch a little more.

The brothers were heading off to their stations for sentry, when he noticed Blue had an aqua-coloured marble in his hands.

"is that his caller orb?"

Geno shoved a hand into his jacket pocket, and returned with a similar marble, coloured white with a single streak of red across the surface.

Instinctively, he touched the edges of his scarred jacket, his fingertips a blood-red hue from the stain.

Geno sighed, replacing the orb in his jacket pocket, and refocusing his attention on the screen before him.

Where was Blue going?

The screen decided to follow the skeleton's path, Geno watching every antic he was up to.

When he saw the other three counterparts of himself, he suddenly got interested.

The screen he was watching through couldn't collect all the sound, so Geno was left with the wind and the trees as his absolutely wonderful, not at all annoying soundtrack that muffled the group's words.

He heard a rustle in the bushes and saw Error stiffen.

It seemed that they had been spotted, and were going to leave.

Ink opened up a portal, and they all jumped in.

"oh."

"where... where did they go?"

He spent a few minutes searching random nearby universes, but they were not to be found.

"wait, ink normally has to go to the multiverse to get to a different universe, so maybe-"

The screen switched views to a stacked pile of skeletons amiss a white realm of hidden nooks and crannies.

"pfft," Geno held back a quiet laugh.

Soon enough, the static-filled audio cleared enough so that he could hear their conversation, at least.

"ISN'T RED'S UNIVERSE REALLY SCARY?"

"mhm, and thats why we should get red from there now, so the hardest part's finished first!"

"THAT'S THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I MEANT!"

"oh," He thought, "they're going to go rally us up again. but why error? isn't he the bad guy?"

"hey, ink? what about the other guy, er, geno?"

"yeah, what about me?" He asked out loud, even if there wasn't anyone to hear.

"...'el goopy..gaster?" Ink had whispered something to Ketchup, and Geno couldn't quite make out what he said.

Something about Gaster.

"hm..."

Ink had passed his paintbrush over his shoulder, ready to go.
