The Colossal Titan

Current Holder: Armin Arlert

Height: 60 meters or 164 feet

Physical traits: Skinless, normal titan anatomy

Special abilities:  It's abnormally large size makes it very slow. The skinless body also emits extremely hot steam that the titan can emit at any time for a certain amount of time before it runs out of energy. 

Story purpose: The first titan and titan shifter to appear chronologically in the series. The first shifter we know about was Bertholdt Hoover. A member of the Marley military. He was sent to Paradise island along with the Armored, female, and Jaw titans. After the loss of Marcel, their Jaw titan, they continued to wall maria where Bertholdt destroyed the gate letting titans in. The armored titan broke through wall maria, forcing the Eldians to retreat to wall Rose. Bertholdt, and the other titan shifters from Marley joined the military inside wall Rose in order to get closer to the king of the walls who they believed to hold to Coordinate. After discovering the identity of another titan shifter, they had to cancel their plans for destroying wall Rose. During the battle for Shiganshina, Bertholdt was defeated and stripped of mobility as a fight for the colossal titan ensued. The Commander of the Survey corps Erwin Smith and cadet Armin Arlert were both fatally wounded. They were to die unless one of them would become the new Titan Shifter. After blood was shed and an arm was broken, Levi Ackerman came to the conclusion that Armin was to become the new Titan Shifter. 

Since then, nothing is currently known about Armin after the four year timeskip. The most we got was a small mention of ships disappearing after going to paradise island. Which I can assume had to do with Armin and Eren destroying them.
