Special abilities: Destroyed wall Maria with a rush attack, armor is very hard to break through unless you use another titan or the lightning spears.
Story purpose: Reiner was the first known shifter of the armored. He was the second titan shifter to appear chronologically in the series. Reiner was sent to paradise island with other titan shifters to take the land back for resources. After destroying wall Maria, he joined the military with Bertholdt and Annie. Ended up in the same position as Bertholdt before Ezekiel saved him from being captured.
