There was nothing there.

A shiver went up against my spine, I could hear something walking around...But I couldn't see it. I knew something was there. I just knew there was. I tried to imagine something-something that could be there. But nothing ever appeared. I turned away and walked up to the side of the lake. I looked down in it, I could see little fish swimming around. The water was so clear, besides any sand that was floating around or rocks. It was completely free of pollution. I took off my shoes and my socks. I set them on a rock a little bit away from the water so they wouldn't get wet.

As I stepped into the water, I completely fell forward. I fell right onto the sand. I floundered around in the water, but when I lay still I realized I could breathe under the water

Of course. It's just my imagination I couldn't drown in my own day-dream, I had thought.

I sat up, looking around under water. I stared at the many fish that were here, a lot of them had pretty colors on them. I got up and stepped out of the water. I wasn't wet at all.I walked right into something but it was very soft. I backed away from whatever I walked into and looked up.

It was a caribou. I couldn't tell if it was male or female, but I certainly recognized the huge antlers on it. As I looked at its hide, it had white and tan on it. There was some darker brown but that was mostly near the bottom of its legs, by their hooves. I had reached out to touch it, laying a hand on its chest, feeling its fluffiness, before moving my hand up to touch its face. They seemed to be around 6'0. For all I know they could be male or even female because both genders of caribou have antlers. When I looked at their eyes which was a gorgeous shade of gold with grey green and blue mixed in. I put my hands on both sides of her face and continued to gaze into their eyes.

¨Are you my spirit?¨ I had whispered to them. They had moved their head forward and nuzzled my face, which led to me to speak once more.

¨If you're my spirit...¨ I closed my eyes within the day-dream ¨...then help me shift.¨

I kept my eyes clothes, and my body began to feel rather weird. I had ended up snapping out of the day-dream and opened my eyes. While I looked around I saw a few wolves, a rhino, a couple types of big cats, a dog, a goat, and some other types of animals. There were very few herbivores, in fact, I was the only herbivore besides the goat and rhino. They were all gazing at me and I realized I was the last one to start shifting. I felt pain at first, it blazed up my limbs and caused me to start crying from the severity of it. The rhino looked at me in alarm. I assumed this was the teacher because of the horns on the teacher's human form earlier.

I literally let out an ear-splitting scream due to how much it hurt, but I felt the pain dull a little bit and my arms and legs had cracked. A few of the wolves had winced back and growled lowly at me. The rhino looked at them, her thin tail flicking back and forth which made the wolves try to hide behind each other. Their attention was diverted back to me as my body cracked again and started to look like its mutilating itself. My arms and legs bending weirdly, but the shift started to go smoothly, but it had taken longer.

After almost twenties minutes, my shift had finished. Everyone stared at me weirdly. I heard voices in my head which made my ears flip back.

Good job Rosaline. I didn't know you were of the bitten kind.

I stared at her, not knowing how to respond back.

Just think, and imagine your sending your thoughts towards me, like as if you were speaking.

I tried what she suggested. I had thought, Is this how you do it?

Yes, It is.
