The past two months have been ones that have tried to wreck my newly found relationship but from everything that that has happened we have gotten through and stuck together like glue. I feel like that this has made our relationship stronger and you guys probably have no idea what I can possibly be talking about. Sorry, I got a little ahead of myself. This chapter is going to be about what happened so I can stop trying to summarize everything. Drink some tea, it’s going to be long.

Flashback: Two months before

Yesterday had to be possibly one of the best days of my life and I knew all it was going to do was lead to more days like it. I woke up with a smile on my face and the need to be comfortable. So when I was choosing my clothes to wear for the day, I hunted deep in my closet for a pair of pants and a t-shirt. I ended up putting on a pair of jeggings with a shirt that said “if you can read this you’re standing too close” on the front and then on the back it said “For questions one through twenty-six the answer is no”. I paired that with a pair of sneakers and through my hair in a bun before I left my room.

Unlike yesterday, the castle was as it should be, as busy as Josiah will allow. No one bumped into me though, I couldn’t say the same for other people. I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where Mrs. Paige was talking on her phone at the dining table with a plate of food in front of her. I didn’t want to bother her so I started walking to the island to sit in one of those chairs but Mrs. Paige waved me over. I walked over there slowly before sitting down across from her, accidently hearing the last bit of the conversation.

“Yes, just make sure to send it to me today so I could check over the dress.”

“What do you mean you lost it? It’s a white mermaid wedding dress with lace arms!”

“Find it then and have it sent to me by the end of the week! The wedding is next week!”

“Fine! Make another one and cut half the price, I can get the wedding rescheduled for two months from now. Don’t ACCIDENTLY sell it again!”

Mrs. Paige ended the call and focused her attention on me. By the way that phone call ended, I didn’t want any of her attention. We looked at each other for a bit, the awkward silence filling the entire kitchen. Finnegan put a parfait in front of me with a spoon and right before I could thank him and have him walk away, Mrs. Paige interrupted her.

“Absolutely unacceptable, she needs more than a little fruit and yoghurt to get her through her days. Fix her up an omelet with a side of eggs, grits, and bacon. Find some wine and pour us two cups.”

“Yes ma’am.” Finnegan said nodding his head and taking away my parfait.

“Mrs. Paige, I was perfectly fine with my parfait, you didn’t have to do that.” I told her.

“You’ve been here for months and the only thing I’ve seen you eat for breakfast is parfaits. I’m not paying them to fix you some girl scout try it badge.” She exclaimed.

“Okay, who’s wedding dress got lost?” I asked trying to change the subject.

“Yours.” She deadpanned.

“You have to be mistaken, I’m not getting married anytime soon.” I corrected.

“Wrong, Josiah has to take his spot on the throne this year. I’ve been at the age of retirement for nine years now.  I am not going to wait another ten years for it. So I waited patiently until you two were actually together and now that you are I can finally marry him off to you whether the both of you consent to it or not.” She explained.
