He observed her clothing, "You'll want to wear something more elegant then that trust me." She raised her eyebrows, "Oh really? Where did you take us?"
"Not telling." Was his only response as he shooed her away back into the Tardis wardrobe. She rolled her eyes assuming they were going somewhere fancy, now she wasn't complaining she loved dressing fancy.
Like she had money and worth and was important, all the looks people gave her it sent thrills through her spine. So of course she searched and searched until she found a bluish green gown with black intricate details lacing all around the fabric. She slipped it on. It was flowy in its own marvelous way and made her figure look fantastic.
She wondered where the doctor had got it from. She found some black gloves that went up to her elbows. Yes this would finish off the look perfectly.
She walked back out and surprisingly found the doctor in his own fancy attire. Yes it seemed similar, but more dashing if that were at all possible.
He turned his gaze to the sound of her coming out, his eyes wandering up and down her. "You look like a Queen." He said amazed,
She smirked, "Oh we both know I am a Queen don't doubt that."
He rolled his eyes, the adoration and amazement disappearing from his features. "Are you ready?" He asked holding out his arm, a gesture that meant 'even if you're not ready we're going anyways.'
So she gave him a simple nod and took his arm. As he opened the TARDIS doors she saw the breathtaking view around them.
They were definitely in someone's palace, and considering the building structures, a palace in the future on an alien planet.
Alien because the atmosphere had a lemony taste to it.
Speaking of alien a small man with purple tinted skin approached them. "Ah you have arrived Doctor, we are so grateful for your arrival on such short notice, I will escort you to the king immediately."
The Doctor nodded, "Oh it was no trouble at all, we weren't doing anything of importance at home."
Missy let a small scowl cross her lips, nothing important? She thought, was spending time with her not important?
The Doctor noticed and with a gentle sigh placed his hand on her waist, she got so easily offended sometimes, he thought.
Missy's dress was dragging behind them on the floor, so maybe he should have said elegant but not to elegant, he didn't want her overpowering the king with her appearance.
And speaking of the king his skin was like theirs, not any color at all which was strange. He was plain and boring. Pity the color was fun.
"His majesty." The purple man said bowing, the Doctor followed his example practically pushing Missy down with him, knowing she didn't like showing power to others.
"This is the Doctor and uh-" he coughed "sorry sir you never told me who she was?" The purple man asked.
"Oh forgive me!" The doctor said with a light chuckle, "This is my wife, she comes with me to all of my investigations."
Missy gave him a surprised look, he most certainly did not ask her about this before. Now she had to act like his wife? She thought before coming to the realization she practically already acts that way.
"Yes, it's always good to accompany him." She found herself saying which caused the doctor to beam at her.
The king was staring at them intensely, "well do you two suppose you can solve my problem?" He asked
"Yes I will need a room for the Mrs. and I to stay in and then I will be off investigating." The Doctor promised.
Missy was confused, the king didn't even say what kind of problem he had, he and the doctor must have talked via telephone or message."
The King nodded, he seemed to be staring at Missy the most as if drinking in her looks. "Well I will have my servant here lead you to a spare room, we also have a ball coming upon us soon and I would appreciate you to accompany me as guests of honor." He said a smile finally appearing on his daft face, Missy thought.
"How considerate thank you." The doctor said bowing quickly before taking Missy's hand and following the servant to their new living space for who knows how long.
They walked in silence until the purple man pointed to a door that would be their room. The doctor opened it, and inside was a marvelous and elegant room.
Of course not as elegant as her and the doctors bedroom on the tardis, they both had a sense of class these regenerations.
Missy shut the door behind them and then turned to face the doctor. "Wife?? Ball?? King?? Explain yourself." She demanded
He sighed expecting this from her, "classy planet from the future that likes to be old fashioned, king with a problem about a mysterious species invading his castle and I couldn't resist saying the lovely girl was my wife."
She raised her eyebrows, "you could have just married me for real it would have been easier."
"You would never say yes, you like to torment me and tease me too much before giving your honest answer." He said taking his shoes off and making himself comfortable.
She laughed, he was absolutely right she would say yes, she would watch him squirm and run after her desperately like a dog after a cat.
"You know me too well Theta." She said taking her gloves off her now sweaty hands. "But do share why your King likes to stare at me."
He laughed, "Who wouldn't stare at you, especially in that dress. You are a diamond compared to all of us dusty old rocks."
She rolled her eyes smiling at his silly analogy, "flattery gets you no where."
"Yes it does, you know it does." He chuckled.
She threw her glove at him teasingly, "shush husband I'm busy thinking of the king."
"You better not be." He said scooping her up in his arms and collapsing onto the bed, causing laughter to escape Missy.
He smiled and pressed a kiss to her cheek. "My dear wife you are all mine." He said softly.
"I'm not your wife." She teased back.
"One day you will be." He mumbled against her skin.
