When our souls collide
a big crash, they shatter
and you took my heart.
you bend it till it breaks
you watch me as I cry
and you leave me, broken
you depart, and I am broken
each sob, colliding
from my heart, comes a despairing cry
against the walls of my heart, they shatter
again and again my heart breaks
it's too much this pain in my heart.
from the beginning you took my heart
you said it wouldn't become broken
my resolve breaks
and our worlds collide
bridges, long ago built shatter
I won't let myself cry
you didn't cry
you took my heart
in your hand it shattered.
my heart now broken,
happiness and regret collide
the regret wins out and my heart breaks
the thread I hold onto breaks
onto the ground I fall with a cry
my head and the wall collide
barely alive without a heart
with one word alone to describe me: broken
one word to describe my heart: shattered.
the glass holding me up shatters
the door I lean on breaks
the floor I walk on is cracked and broken
all happiness gone, I let myself cry
in pieces I pick up my heart.
screaming as reality and dreams collide.
real and fake collide in a ruining shatter
you leave and my heart unavoidably breaks
and in a moments time if you listen you'll hear my broken cry.
