Yes, Nathaniel Morgenstern. Son of Mathilda Morgenstern and Vulcan.
Brother of Isabelle Morgenstern.
My mother was born in New Orleans. When she was 20, she met Vulcan, who, at the time, posed himself as a mortal. She fell in love with him and they spent many happy months together until, on her 21st birthday, Mathilda found out she was pregnant with a small boy. Together, the couple were delighted. 9 months later, they had the child and named him Nathaniel.

I grew up happily with my mother and father in New Orleans for three years. I was kind: too kind. I would never purposefully kill anything. That spider in the bath? I'll take it out and let it loose in the garden. That fly buzzing around in the shed? I'll let it out before the spider can get it.
However, soon after my 3rd birthday, my father, who had stayed with us faithfully for my. childhood, was called back to Olympus. He explained to Mathilda that he was a god and that he couldn't stay with her for any longer. Mathilda was heartbroken. She went for days without food. She sat awake in Vulcan's chair at nights, unaware of anything I was doing or saying. One day her parents came round and found her in this state, me sitting at her feet and crying. They rushed her to the hospital and found out something: she was pregnant again. With a little girl.
Specialists estimated that the stress of looking after me had tired her out and the heartbreaking disappearance of her husband had tipped her over the edge into an irretrievable state of grief. My grandparents blamed me for everything and threw him out of the house pitilessly. That was when the wolves found me.

Lupa had been watching me since my birth. She was interested by me, and when I was brought before her at the Wolf House, a mere child, she laughed. She told me to straighten up and stop crying. She said she was going to train me and she did. For 14 years. At the age of 17, I was deemed ready for me final test. Lupa set me in front of a crying child, who was pointing at a small spider.
"Kill it." was what she instructed me to do. I refused, moving it away from the child. It had never done anything wrong. It was innocent, so why kill it? At this, Lupa grew angry. "Weakness." she said angrily. "My cubs should not show weakness."
However, Lupa had always liked me, so instead of eating him like she should have, she sent me away. "Go to Long Island." was what she told me. "If you cannot be Roman, you should be the next best thing."
